Meeting NYC fashionistas @by_md and @lbrand_stylegirl at the Baccarat Hotel, NYC.
Documenting my Hermes journeys here in my handbag journal is something I have cherished doing right from the start with my first Birkin I still call my SuperBagXLVIII. In keeping with tradition, I’m excited to declare it’s time to create another time stamp in my Hermes diary.
I’ll keep brief in my notes as we have explored my desire to add a neutral to my collection extensively (read: The Quest for a Neutral Handbag). I’ll attempt at keeping the story to a picture board… (attempt is the operative word).
My recent trip to NYC proved lucky on multiple counts. Firstly, I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with the lovely @by_md and @lbrand_stylegirl .

Shoe shopping at Bergdorf Goodman.
The three of us were sharing a ‘very fruitful’ girls shopping day at Bergdorf Goodman when we sontaneously decided to walk over to Hermes. We chatted about our favorite Hermes fall/winter colors and dreamt up wish lists. I was excited to visit the new shoe salon built on the fourth floor that my sales associate had mentioned just opened.
While perusing the store, we found ourself in the leather department discussing the fall colors and my personal quest for a neutral (preferably a birkin).
Before we knew it, we found ourselves sitting in the room waiting for a special surprise. The three of us sitting in a row like good little girls is a scene engraved in my memory forever.

It all happened so fast it didn’t even dawn on me to take any pictures. The experience was all the more exciting having girlfriends to share it with. I wasn’t going to leave without taking a few shots to add to my journal here.

The ease at which you walked in and got this bag and the ease at which I walked into the FSH store in Paris in August and got a Kelly with no prior relationship with that store is making me concerned that their sales are down so much that the supply is exceeding the demand! Thoughts?
