Most significant of his crimes include a $2 billion banking scam and fraudulently selling engagement rings which turned out to be lab diamonds!!!
But let’s jump to why we are so interested in this story at the moment. The authorities in India are attempting to recover some of his dues by auctioning valuables like art, watches, cars and Hermès Birkins and Kellys that belonged to him and his wife Ami.
The auction is being managed by Saffron Art Gallery in Mumbai where the lots are available for viewing over the next few days. The lots are well documented on the gallery’s website which allows you to pre-bid for the items that catch your fancy and participate in the auction scheduled for 5th March via the app, a call or in person.
