Another Hermes store hit the Big Apple (that’s NYC for out-of-towners). Located in the more hip, downtown (also touristy) neighborhood known as the Meatpacking District (yes, that’s what the area used to house before becoming home to nightlife and now shopping), the vibe in this boutique fits the mood of the hood. Mixed with the Hermes heritage brand items like Birkins, Kellys, scarves and shoes, are an array of newer products. Think fanny packs, backpacks . . . and a bicycle and skateboards.
Interestingly, Hermes opted not to position itself inside the latest NYC mall attraction at Hudson Yards. Rather, this Hermes is a bit south (i.e. downtown) and just off of the bottom of another popular site – the highly walkable Highline.
