Cost per use more easily justifies a big expenditure for a bag you’ll use often. But special is special. Thoughts.

Is that a trick question ? I will take them all but on a serious note I would only like to collect evening bags.. And keep adding day time once in a while if something catches my eye…

For me, it would have to be an everyday bag. -@ninechoices

Every day bag, as my life is casual.

Definitely a classic everyday bag. If my collection ever reaches the point where I’m satisfied with my everyday bag collection then I might add special occasion bags. Strong emphasis on “IF.”

Everyday bag for me, I would rather spend the money on a classic piece that will stand the test of time and that I can use now or when I am 80 years old :D

For me it would go either way and honestly depends on how much I love a particular bag. I work from home often and sometimes the only time I leave the house is to go out for a date night so I wouldn’t mind spending on an evening or clutch type bag since for me I could find many occasions to use it. I also don’t carry a lot of stuff in my bag unless I’m traveling so many of my bags can be used for day or night.

I’d say everyday bag! Everyday bag can be a special occasion bag as well!

At first for an everyday bag and afterwards for a special occasion bag :)

I’ll go for a classic everyday bag. I believe a classic piece will work well with any occasion :)

Right now its an everyday bag. I dont have enough special or formal occasions to justify the cost of a formal bag.

My life is casual with kids, so special occasion doesn’t happen as much as I would like. So for me, “soccer mom” lifestyle commands everyday bags = big money = B’s

Everyday bag in my case… spending big $$ on special occasion purse makes me apprehensive cuz I always want to use my bags as much as possible to justify the money spent…xoxo

I go back and forth on this. I rarely change bags on a daily life basis, but always do for a “special” occasion. A bag can make – and the wrong one can really ruin – an outfit.

A bag that does both, if possible, like a Kelly 28 or Birkin 30 in “insert favorite exotic skin here”. They’re not as “dressy” or formal as a Kelly Cut or Medor clutch can be, but they are more versatile. If willing to sacrifice some bag real estate on a daily basis, a crocodile Kelly 25 could be the ultimate all occasion bag. It’s chic, classic, timeless and can elevate anyone’s closet to the next level.
If it can’t do it all, I’d get the one I’ll use the most.

For me, an everyday bag is a long term investment and I’d rather put my dollars there to make sure it is high quality and something that I’m pleased with. Maybe it’s just me, but my bags when I got to special big events are pretty low key..

May we do both??? I’m not a great one to answer this question because I am always drawn to the novelty colors and styles, the limited edition pieces of lets say Chanel. But because our lifestyle is ‘evening’ social, I find many occasions to use special treasures. However for a starter collection, I definately think big bucks spent on an everyday bag makes more sense.

I’m on the side of special is special. Even though I’m not going to big events as often, when I do go out I want a glam bag to help me feel special and stand out! I find it hard to resist the limited edition pieces because I want an eclectic collection. Can’t stand the same old black everyday bags even if my bag outshines me LOL :)

I tend to go less expensive and more trendy with my special occasion bags, however I will splurge for a good high quality everyday bag.

Hello :) I wish I could be as logical, but I too often get swept away by the limited edition novelty pieces…

you´re a collector, Pursebop, you should get swept away LOL ;)

For my needs, investing in everyday wear will always be a priority. For my personal male style, I don’t think I need a special occasion bag per say. But, maybe investing in a few versatile special occasion clothes and accessories is the way to go. The rest of the priority should be on everyday in my eyes.
