With the bigger bags coming back in trend in full circle such as the B35 and B40, will the Chanel Jumbo make a come back as well in the near future? I’m thinking of letting go of my Chanel jumbo to invest on a B30/B25. Would love your thoughts on this?

Since the Pandemic ended last year, people are eager to get out of their homes, go to work, and live life. With that comes more things to carry in our bags. As a result, we are seeing the larger bags re-emerge both on the streets, at work, and on the runways.
The Chanel Jumbo Classic Flap has always been a favorite among Chanel lovers. Although its appearance is not as visible lately, it does appear to be used more and more often. The capacity, the extra long chain shoulder strap that can be worn crossbody or on the shoulder, and the classic design make the Chanel Jumbo a bag that has earned its status.
Making the decision to re-home one of your bags due to its size, your lifestyle, or tastes that may have changed, is always a tough decision. We struggle often with the same question.
Unfortunately, there is no definite answer. We try to remember the adage “Doubt means Don’t” to prevent us from making an impulsive move that we may soon regret. If you have no doubts about missing the bag in the future, and you will be able to sell your bag for a considerable amount that would help you fund a new bag, these are good reasons to consider rehoming your Jumbo Classic Flap.
However, with the numerous Chanel price increases we have seen over the past year, it can be a double edged sword. First, it is possible that your Chanel Jumbo Classic Flap has increased in value since the price increase depending on the color, leather, condition of the bag, and hardware color. On the other hand, because there have been so many price increases by Chanel, if you ever decide to replace your Jumbo CF, the cost will be much greater than the price you purchased her previously.
There are many things to consider before deciding to re-home your bag. Remember, at one time you loved your Chanel Jumbo. That love may return and then you will regret having sold her for a potential Hermès bag that you are not sure when you may be offered.
