Dear PurseBop:
How was the first day of the Hermes sale in Las Vegas? Is it worth traveling there to shop? How well stocked was the inventory? Did you have a good experience?
Dear Hermès Sale Shopper:

I am going to give you my own personal experience and opinion. This is in no way the opinion of anyone else, just my personal feelings after spending the afternoon at the first day of the sale in Las Vegas.
The Sale in Las Vegas runs for 5 days from Tuesday, September 23 through Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Overall it was a great experience. I am happy I attended my first (and possibly only) Hermes sale.

I traveled to Las Vegas on the day of the sale since my time slot was from 3-5 p.m. I landed on time and was able to arrive at the venue 2 hours early to meet people, talk to them about their experience, and be near the front of the line to enter right at 3 p.m. for the maximum 2 hours of shopping.

Overall Experience
The experience overall was very positive. The venue was enormous. The people working the event were all very happy, pleasant, helpful, informative, and wanted everyone to have a pleasant experience.

Main entrance to the left and just before exiting and retrieval of items checked on the right
There was a line out front before entering but it never got so long that it had to wrap around the building. Starting 30 minutes before the allotted time of entry they started letting people inside to have their QR code scanned and ID checked. Everyone received a wristband color coded for the appointment time. If you signed up with a guest that person must be with you at check-in or they will not be admitted later.

Next is the area where they place your cell phone into a black pouch that was locked with a sensor similar to what is placed on clothing in a retail store. The London and Las Vegas sales appear to be the first time they used this black pouch. The front of the pouch has a clear plastic screen and the back is black. This allows you to make calls, text, and pay with Apple Pay, but prevents any photos or videos to be taken inside the venue. Any and all bags are checked at this desk as well for retrieval upon exiting the venue.

Tip: Although everything was secure, it is best not to bring your Hermès bags to the venue as they will be stored in a coat check type area. Nevertheless, there were shoppers online with mini Kellys worn crossbody and Kelly 25s worn by others. It is a personal choice. I wore my Chanel light pink 22P mini classic top handle and she was the perfect companion. I also had my Lanvin tote to carry my Ipad and other essentials for my day trip to Las Vegas.

They do restock the inventory and it is very organized and calm. Everyone is given as many gray mesh shopping bags as they want to place their purchases until check out.

After entering the sale and checking your bags, we waited in line until the top of the hour (3 p.m.) to be admitted. The first area was Men’s Ready to Wear. The men’s selection was quite plentiful with t-shirts, sweat shirts, one rack of leather jackets, hats, cashmere sweaters, and other items.
Next came women’s ready to wear. All the racks were organized by size from the smallest to largest. There was one rack of special cashmere coats separate from the other racks which was protected by one SA. There were no leather coats.

The items available for sale were from Spring/Summer 2023 and Fall/Winter 2023. Bright color ways seen in the boutique from past seasons were present. Many cashmere long coats and long vests in off white, light orange, and black were available in many sizes. The ready to wear was well stocked and neatly arranged for a positive experience.
A @pursebop community member scored several pair of shoes for both she and her husband some of which were brought out from the back before ever being placed on display.
Tip: Ask the SA if there are other options in back not yet on display.
The SA’s periodically restock the inventory throughout the day and the following day.

The next section was scarves. There was no shortage of scarves in all sizes, colors, and shapes in silk and cashmere including a wide array of twillies. Twillies have a limit of 10 max.

Next were women and men’s shoes separately organized by size from the smallest to the largest. Many Orans, some Chypre, a few boot styles, and many sneaker styles depending on the size. Limit of 6 shoe purchases max, one Oran or Oasis (not one of each).

After the shoes was a very small Home display area with an assortment of blankets and pillows in an array of colors, a backgammon set ($9100 50% off), two leather and glass vases, some horse head items, and more.
There were also display cases with fashion jewelry arranged by size in each case. One SA worked each display case and was very helpful allowing customers to try on items for size. When an item was chosen the SA would write a ticket and place the item into a sealed clear bag which ws then sent to the check out counter. We heard this created confusion and time lost at check out as the item was difficult to locate. The selection consisted of rope bracelets, some CDC’s even in pink exotic, several scarf rings, colorful fashion earrings and pendants, and more. The selection was not huge but adequate.
Check-out Line

After shopping in each department it was possible to go back to any of the areas already visited. Once done, there was an extremely long line to pay. Many said the line was 2 hours or longer as the day got later. One smart shopper brought her husband who waited 90 minutes in line while she shopped. He deserves the “Hermes Husband” award.

Personal Opinion
My personal opinion of the Hermès sale is that it was extremely well organized, well stocked, and the SA’s were knowledgeable and helpful. It was overall a pleasant experience if there were items you truly loved and wanted to add to your wardrobe.

Friends of @pursebop met while waiting to enter, @angelbrigitte
Personally, I felt that the inventory consisted of items in hard to wear color ways that no one wanted to buy originally, (which is true of any sale). There was nothing that tempted me to wait almost 2 hours to check out. Honestly I was only there for about 40 minutes and walked out empty handed. But that was a success for me because I leave for Paris Fashion Week in 5 days and I wanted to save my budget to shop in my favorite city.

My best advice is to attend the sale with realistic expectations. If there is something you love, buy it. If not, enjoy the experience, the location, and partaking in another slice of Hermes. Then return home and shop with your own SA.

Beautiful sunset on the flight home from Las Vegas
Happy Shopping and share your experience and buys here.
