With the buzz around Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel showing no signs of slowing, the energy surrounding the Fall–Winter 2026 show extended well beyond the runway. Arriving beneath the Grand Palais dome, celebrities, editors, clients, and longtime Chanel collectors carried pieces from Blazy’s Spring–Summer 2026 debut collection — which had dropped into Paris boutiques days earlier, ahead of the global release.

The arrivals offered an early glimpse at which of Blazy’s new handbags are already destined for waitlists.
Chanel Small Flap Bag
Double Olympic champion and model Eileen Gu leaned into a fitting theme of “double” for the evening, carrying one of Matthieu Blazy’s most distinctive new silhouettes: the Double Face Flap, referred to by Chanel as the Small Flap Bag. Much like Gu’s own dual titles, the design pairs Chanel codes, with the Mademoiselle lock of the Reissue on the black side and the CC turn-lock of the Classic on the white side.

Rendered in black-and-white quilted lambskin, the bag was styled with understated ease. Gu carried the piece as a clutch, tucking the chain strap inside to let the graphic design take centre stage.

Chanel Large Shopping Bag
Content creator Alena Mills has been sharing her top picks from the Rue Cambon frenzy since the early drop last week. For the show, she carried one of the most coveted pieces from the Fall–Winter 2026 collection: the Large Shopping Bag in black.

Not exactly runway-friendly, Mills carried the oversized bag by hand, though she also let it hang from her shoulder. She added an extra touch of drama by attaching the Celestial Sphere Evening Bag to its handles, turning the statement piece into an ultra-luxe, double-bag moment.

Chanel Small Shopping Bag
Fashion commentator Bryan Yambao arrived with one of Chanel’s newest and most coveted silhouettes – the Small Tote. Styled in a rich burgundy hue, the bag echoes the design codes of its larger travel-sized sibling, featuring a flat-quilted body, softly cinched sides, and a front flap secured with a classic CC turn-lock.

Bryan paired the bag with the complete gray suit from look 5 of the Spring–Summer 2026 runway, paired with Blazy’s new toe-cap shoes, carrying the tote by its elongated handles.

Chanel 25 Mini
Pocket-sized pop princess Kylie Minogue made a stylish entrance at the show with the Chanel 25 Mini in its freshest fabrication from Blazy’s Métiers d’Art 2026 debut. Offering a sneak peek of what’s to come, the style won’t hit boutiques until June.

While coverstar of the bag, Dua Lipa has been recently spotted sporting the cheetah-print version, Kylie opted for a more understated take, carrying the mini in a plush chocolate-brown fuzzy shearling finish.

Chanel Mini Shopping Bag
Actress Miu Natsha Taechamongkalapiwat attended her very first Chanel runway show, pairing her Spring–Summer 2026 ready-to-wear look with a matching black bag. Her choice: a fringed version of the top-handle Mini Shopping Bag, affectionately dubbed the Chanel Kelly by collectors.

A new iteration for 26S, this version retains the signature quilted lambskin construction while introducing a playful twist. Statement fringe frames the ladylike silhouette — from the top handle to the edges — lending the structured mini an added dose of texture and movement.

Chanel Clutch with Chain
Model and influencer Lori Harvey brought a sleek, structured touch to the runway with the Clutch with Chain in black lambskin.

The cuboid silhouette revisits classic quilting, accented with subtle pleated detailing along the sides. A CC emblem completes the streamlined design, keeping the focus on the bag’s silhouette and luxe finish. Harvey tucked the bag under her arm rather than wearing it over the shoulder.

Chanel Faux Croc Kiss-Lock Purse
Another of the evening’s quiet exclusives came courtesy of Chanel House Ambassador Jennie. The Blackpink star debuted a handbag from the upcoming Métiers d’Art 2026 collection — a vintage-leaning faux croc kiss-lock purse not due to hit boutiques until June.

The deep burgundy croc-embossed design features a structured frame topped with a CC-emblazoned kiss-lock closure. Slim elongated straps — which appear adjustable — allow the pouch silhouette to be worn over the shoulder, though Jennie chose to carry the piece by hand.
