I think one can never have enough of Chanel ? I only have a vintage single flap, but I hope to one day have at least a Boy, a medium classic flap and a mini ? Or many of each ??
- PatiEv replied 10 years ago
100% YAY!!!! Loved these strap you straps even more than bag charms!!! I think they are the perfect to bring freshness to bags!!! Only thing I didn’t like at all is the price ?!!! But the idea is genius!!!

The last time I had “bag fatigue” was with a trend, not a specific bag: micro bags!
Mini bags are fine because depending who’s holding them, they look proportionate to an adult woman’s body. Micro bags were only proportionate to a child’s body.
Don’t get me wrong: I die for teeny tiny bags hanging from a full size bag. I have a Chanel flap that fits a only box of cigarettes and I love wearing her on my medium flap. What I can’t understand is people posing with a bag they can only fit 3 fingers in the handle. Look like they stole the bag from their daughter.
Mini is small enough without looking silly ;)
I’m not a trend follower per say; lots of people die for brand new Hermes Birkins and I’m on a HUGE vintage Kelly kick right now.
When I wear my grandmother’s 1965 black crocodile Kelly, I feel like the chiquest woman in the world, even if I’m wearing jeans, a t-shirt and ballet flats.
I think the trend of Birkin customization (painting bags) stemmed from people wanting to have somehing one of a kind, since the market was so saturated with them.
I predict when there’s brand or trend fatigue, people will turn to lesser known designers and instead of having the “it” bag every single person has, they will want to own something unique and new that no one knows what it is or turn to vintage pieces, since many of them of a them are kind and depending on the era, can be something fresh again. 60’s gometric bag when everyone is wearing slouchy hobos, anyone? ;)

I have six… and I still am eyeing a “few” more ?
My favorite is my black Classic Jumbo Double Flap with ghw :)
- Precious84 replied 10 years ago
Here is my sister’s and my collection. We like black, can you tell?? :-p
My favorite is my mini 2.55, which I bought at Berdorf Goodman NYC in 2009! Cute, timeless and still big enough for some basics… I prefer it anytime over my Classic Jumbo. That bag is too heavy… I don’t like to carry it but the problem is that my mini’s leather is a bit worn out (in the corner in the back) because I literally carry it everywhere (even nature walks ;-)) so I really want to use other bags now out of fear it will soon be ruined forever…
Chanel already said they can’t fix it :(
Anywho, I wanted a wallet on a chain next but the prices are ridiculous nowadays… So I don’t want it anymore…
No more Chanel for me… I have my heart set on a Hermes now…

I love love love the Tempete, but if I would buy a Delvaux (which will certainly happen one day) I would buy the Brilliant first.
It has been on my wish list for about 10 years now and I am really annoyed I didn’t buy it back then!
The prices were so good back then! The regular size was 1850 euro, if I remember properly. Now here in Belgium (where they are produced) they are about 4 400 euro. I always said “one day I’ll buy one” because my BF is not a big fan and he always convinced me to buy another bag instead.
He says that they are for old ladies, but he doesn’t like my Chanel bags either, so what does he know, right? :-p
I think both the Brilliant as the Tempete are timeless and will stay in style forever. absolutely love them!
Anyway, I told myself to not spend a lot of money on any other bag before I get my Kelly bag, so I will just have to wait longer for the Delvaux. Who knows how much they will cost by then? :-p

Like I said in the post, I think H too classic for Kanye… I do think he has style, but nothing to do with Hermès ?
- PatiEv replied 10 years ago
Personally I don’t think he lacks style, but I think his style has nothing to do with H….

Hello opf_withluv, here in the Philippines there’s a lot of people selling bag shapers. Most of it are like pillows and some are plastic filled with air..if I may ask you, how old is your Birkin? mine is already 2 yrs old and honestly no matter how much stuff I place inside it to keep its shape it still slouches the moment I remove the stuff. I think this is a tendency for Togo or Clemence Leather (I don’t know about swift or fjord coz I don’t own one with these leather type).

I use my Longchamps bag as well during traveling… Perfect to carry a Chanel classic flap bag in too…
And it takes away so much stress as the security gates. I’m always afraid someone will steal my stuff there when someone is holding up the line… A Longchamps bag is a bit more discreet and no one can see what’s inside. :)
