one billion times YES in my humble opinion. The Boy bag is becoming an iconic Chanel bag (no wonder why they release new collections each season). Bags like the plexiglass gang and let´s say, more “exotic” bags I think are only worth the investment if you are a CC collector… I think they are amazing but in the long run will tend to become home decor… but the Boy bag…aaahhh the Boy bag… I remember the very first one that was released and it made my heart skip a beat. Since then, this model owns my heart and I hope it´s never discountinued.

I´m on the Kelly team, no doubt. I love how chic and classy the Birkin is, but the Kelly´s shoulder strap wins my vote, I love resting the bag on my shoulder and having both my hands free (which is one of the many reasons I´m a total CC fan).

I vote for Grandama CC, I think the handsfree option is essential when hugging, kissing and greeting! Not to mention with a champagne flute in one hand, LOL
Your dress is beautiful, and I LOVE that K wallet! Are you traveling to attend?
Hope this helps :)

SAs are saying that the Boy is here to stay as a classic. Then again, so is the GST and we’ve seen what happened with that. And, no bag is really an “investment”; a bag – Boy, Girl, 11.12, CF or anything else – will NOT fund your retirement.

Another vote for grandma cc. Hands free and let’s the dress shine. Have fun!

In reply to: How many is too many?

WOW, hardest question to answer ever LOL! For my fiancé I already have more than enough (and I have very few designer bags so I think he´s wrong)… for me, I´m just getting started hahaha… it´s hard to answer that question cuz you might think it really is enough today, and then next season´s bags come along and one (or more than one hehe) might win you over, and so you automatically start thinking you don´t have enough anymore… if you start feeling bad for having so many bags while you use only one at a time, you could settle a limit for yourself that would make you comfortable and for every bag you buy, you sell one you don´t use much anymore ;) XOXO

Great question, and one I ponder from time to time. I do not feel guilty for having many many bags, but I do feel guilty when I don’t use them. If I still cherish the thought of taking a particular baggie out of it’s dust bag and secretly admiring it while she’s out and about with me, HER presence in my armoire is completely justified. As for a count of all my bags, I never have & I hope I never do. I am very good with rotation of my handbags, so they all get a special day, week or month ;)

Everyday bag in my case… spending big $$ on special occasion purse makes me apprehensive cuz I always want to use my bags as much as possible to justify the money spent…xoxo

May we do both??? I’m not a great one to answer this question because I am always drawn to the novelty colors and styles, the limited edition pieces of lets say Chanel. But because our lifestyle is ‘evening’ social, I find many occasions to use special treasures. However for a starter collection, I definately think big bucks spent on an everyday bag makes more sense.

I also think the price increase in Europe is extremely unfair. If they want the price to be the same all around the world, they should make all the prices equal to Europe.

Yes Pursebop, you give all your bags special attention so I dont think you have way too many ;) can´t answer the question though… for me, there is no such thing as too many bags LOL.

I don’t like bagcharms… They are so childish. Also think they are overpriced.

I think one good timeless bag is more than enough. Why have a closet full when you only wear one at a time?

Can’t say it’s fair either… Prices should never be raised in the level they are going to raise it in europe. It’s ridiculous and europeans should retaliate.

I must admit I also think they are all too expensive… but the mini Karlito is just waaayyy too cute!!! If I had one, I’d want to sleep hugging it every night hahaha

I agree that bag charms are expensive considering one could very well purchase a great bag for the cost of a charm, however this could be explained in terms of relativity. If one is adorning a 15,000 dollar bag with a $500 dollar charm, the perspective of expensive changes.

Honestly? The Boy is a pretty bag and all, but the classic flap will always be the classic flap, timeless and chic. I´m afraid the Boy may get tiring and outdated in the long run.

Gosh, I love both :) but as this is a major purchase selecting the right color is a crucial decision. I would suggest taking a detailed look at your wardrobe color preferences. For example, do you tend to wear more greys & blacks or more earth toned colors such as tan, olives, and browns? What shoes do reach for the most?

You might also consider that wear and tear will show much less with black over long time use. My breifcase is a Louis Vuitton that I have had for years, but because it’s brown the handles etc look pretty beat up now. My vote is for black, especially if you wear mostly black and greys. Looking forward to a reveal someday soon I hope!

Those briefcases look stunning… But I’m leaning towards taupe ;)

I like the first bag… Looks simple and neat. I honestly don’t know whether it will be enough room for laptop and books because I usually carry nothing inside my bag except wallet and cell

I’m on the side of special is special. Even though I’m not going to big events as often, when I do go out I want a glam bag to help me feel special and stand out! I find it hard to resist the limited edition pieces because I want an eclectic collection. Can’t stand the same old black everyday bags even if my bag outshines me LOL :)
