I’m in love with the Boy spine book bag! Everything else is mostly ok

I recently turned down a stunning BE Croc small scales CDC PHW, if only it had GHW I wouldn’t of even had to think for a second about buying it but I still regret it a little bit :(
Not a CDC but the CDC buckle & a rivale in cappucine.

I love caviar and patent the best as I don’t want to stress about my bags! Lamb is delicate but if it comes in color I want then I of course would take it!! Hahaha

I would love to get vintage but scared to buy online. I would need to see the item before buying to see if I can live with amount of scratches/scuffs on the bags! Haha…but would love to have Chanel or Hermes vintage pieces!!!

Beautiful cdc collection!!! I can never say no to beautiful cdc! I have few on my wish list still, such as BE and BI croc with PHW!!!!
- panthere55 replied 11 years ago
I adore vintage if it is from a trusted source and in really good condition like the previous owner carried it only a few times, etc. I think it also has to be a really “special to you” piece or a “holy grail” item that someone has taken a long time to search for. Too often like StyledGuy mentions, people describe things as vintage when it’s really faux, lol!! That I do not like! I do have a very favorite vintage bag I have been planning a “reveal” for – maybe this is the place!!! ?

Happy Saturday vibes today xxxx

OH girl, I agree…there’s a different feel/vibe to each type. Lamb is the most luxurious and makes me feel glam, caviar is durable to stress free, but honestly I enjoy my patent baggies because they also are so pretty, nearly indestructible and ever so shiny. I have several patents in all sizes :)

I was just thinking, you should do an epic knowledge post on Petite Malles and really give us Boppers a nice summary in one place of maybe construction details and pics of cruise/pre-fall ones and maybe a price chart of differences per each country, and how hard they are to get, etc.!!! I for one would absolutely love that wealth of knowledge from a PM expert like you, @styledguy!!! ???

I can’t resist ?? my latest #SoBlack
- Pursebop replied 11 years ago
For me it depends on the piece and the seller. So if its coming from my trusted vintage and antique seller i say yes for bags and accessories. But i am not in to buying vintage clothing or shoes.
On the other hand mi grandmother’s LV trunks and all her antique jewelry are my treasures, and when ever i use her pieces I feel closer to her.

I love each and every one of these the same @styledguy, your collection is amazing especially the reflector Petite Malle, you really have made me fall in love with Petite Malle, so….. here’s it is hiding, Ill post it later xx

I don’t get the love for vintage pieces. I tried a vintage Yves Saint Laurent shirt once and honestly.. it was a depressing experience for me. I felt like one of the normal people.
I understand in rare circumstances, someone wants to hunt down a specific vintage bag and that’s cool. But to actually say “hmm instead of a new Chanel, I’m going to buy some dusty old used one!” it’s crazy.
Also when someone says “it’s vintage!” I think fake, only time I don’t assume vintage=fake is when it’s a family heirloom or someone I know with a large collection.
That being said I do get the desire for “exclusivity”, I just don’t think vintage is the way forward.

Great thread Selin :) loved the Longchamp tip ;)
Well, in my case, when I travel I usually prefer to visit colder places since here in Brazil it´s always hot and I hate hot weather. So my list always includes:
_ thermal shirts and leggings
– a very warm coat
– wool caps and scarves
– gloves that allow us to use touchscreen without taking them off
– boots
– moisturizing cream
– carmex lipbalm (I´m addicted to it)
– sunnies
– tangle teezer (yes, it is a miracle)
– sunscreen (I never leave the house without it whether it´s hot or cold)
– canon camera
– large Fendi Peekaboo and Gucci Soho Disco (always good to take a big and a small bag)
– comfy sneakers (usually my spiked Superga high tops or colorful New Balance)
these are all I can think of right now… I´ll edit the comment if I remember anything important ;)

Honestly, I couldn´t care less about exclusivity LOL. I just want what I fall in love with, independent if no one or every one has it :) Plus, I usually go vintage when I can´t afford a new baby hahaha (don´t get me wrong though, Grandma CC is one of the loves of my life).
- PatiEv replied 11 years ago
The idea is great, although to me, personally I like to shop for my bags in the actual store…just love the whole process of choosing, and trying on ;)
