LeOrangeBliss, I just reread your post and article and have a question. I have been waiting/hoping for my first B/K and find that the longer that time passes without that call, the more my eye wanders and interest sort of wanes. How can I keep my eye on the prize without frustration? Any tips to speed up the process? Many thanks.

Hello Lifeandstyletips, ? I empathize with what you are saying! ? if I may share my fave black bags while you work through your list of choices. In no order of preference, the Chanel reissue, the Gucci new bamboo bag, and the Hermes birkin. I have to share that I am very smitten by Pursebop’s black Kelly! Oh, and there is the Lady Dior. ??? Am excited to know your final choice, have fun shopping!!!

Dear favloves (hello you! ? *waves*) do you mean the stickers are cut out around the knobs (as is done for the Kelly wallets?)… I have attached a pic of my seals after I removed them, the stickers cover the full hardware. Which I think is better for full protection? In the 3 months I had my Ghillies (with the seals on), there is significant dust catchment around the edges of the seals… Oh, and because the seals are affixed on by hand, there will be bubbling on the seals, that bothers me too ???!

Sky is definitely not the limit for me, LOL I wish!! For now it’s in the $10-12K USD range (or current price for a B30, K32), and even that nauseates me… I would love to have a small exotic Hermes bag and clutch at some point in the distant future (lizard and croc/gator), but that won’t be for a while…

Hahahaha I’m with pinkblondebrunette on this one, there are so many amazing colors to choose from!! Some favorites in regular leather are: Lagon, Rose Shocking, Rose Confetti, Lime, Craie, Gris Perle… Exotics: Bleu Izmir gator/croc, Rose Sheherazade gator/croc, Braise gator/croc, Gris Paris gator/croc, Emeraude gator/croc, Violet lizard <3

Another thing to add is that white especially (probably other light colors as well?) can oxidize with sun (and moon?) exposure… so it WILL YELLOW over time. This is my biggest fear more than staining etc, because once it happens it is irreversible, and I am not even sure if it is entirely preventable… However, to delay (hopefully prevent!) this, I’ve been advised to keep the bag in its dustbag at all times when not in use… For extra precaution I also hide it deep in my closet where it is pitch black and gets no light exposure whatsoever. So no suntanning for my light colored bags LOL!!!!

Such a good question. I use a good leather cleaner. (A cleaner that can be bought at a shoe store or a cleaner that is used for light colored leather sneakers can work in some instances). Keep light colored handbags AWAY from jeans and anything that will transfer color onto the bag.

I can justify around $5-10k on a bag. That range has slowly been creeping up over the months, especially now that I’m starting to fall for Kelly. I’ve also got an urge for an exotic soon but trying to part with 33k for a croc Petite Malle is just too painful

@medicineinstyle gorgeous elevator pics! I’d like to take a few more myself but in my condo someone decided to limit the lighting in the lifts to the minimum possible. I think they might have caught me once or twice and decided to end the fun… Ahahaha. But your photos really are amazing. You do know how to pose! :)
