I really think it comes down to each person and their personal style. I love the look of it for a fun outfit!!! I think it could pull a look together very well. As an everyday bag, used for grocery shopping or work (unless in a creative field) maybe not so much. If one has the budget for bags suited to a particular “outfit” like this bag, I say absolutely – get it. I am not one who rationalizes a purchase based on “handing down my bag to my daughter in the future”. In most cases, in 20-30 years, my daughter (or other relative I am handing it down to) probably wont want it anyway. Imagine…using the same bag for 30 years?! Probably not, right? In most cases it will have been used on and off, coming out for some seasons, days, or weeks and possibly being retired for several months or even years. So if someone can rationalize buying a black bag, arguing it will last for 30 years (if its H it prob will too), why cant a fun bag like this also be expected to be relevant in the future? Especially if it is used less than a basic bag…Unless the construction is completely poor. Anyway, long and short of my arguement: buy it if you lovev it an the budget allows. Styles come in and out of fashion every year so in the future, evven if you get sick of it for years, you may feel nostalgic for it later

Hi darling pursebop! ? our boutique advised me to use Woly conditioner but I tried it on the bottom and it makes the leather look darker ? so not going to use that ?

I see your point and I do agree labels can be embarrassing sometimes. For example if you own a Louis Vuitton monogram bag, Hermès H belt, Gucci print shoes, Burberry check shirt, Rolex, etc. there’s nothing wrong.. but wearing them all at once? It can look tacky. When your logos take over your outfit and look noisy, that’s when you know you should chill out. Less is truly more when it comes to logos. Obviously some will disagree here, but that’s what makes fashion interesting. :)

I’m guilty of being pretty impatient so I rip the seals off as soon as possible…I can see how the uneven aging can be true.

For imagination’s sake…I’m thinking Lady Dior?
- StyleInTheCity replied 11 years ago
I agree I tend to go for label free. Not just for the politics of logs telling about status, just because I don’t feel comfortable with huge words, graphics, or labels on my clothes because I am pretty minimalistic. If someone is more flashy with their logos though, it’s not necessarily something to be embarrassed about I don’t think.

I loved the leather-laced chain clutch (I have a matching bracelet)until I heard the price.

You must go hands-free to manage the racing forms . . . But it would be great to collect those winnings in a birkin.

I hope you find your espadrilles soon KrysC! I know how frustrating it is when you can’t find something you want so much! So good luck!!!

My dear dear deaaaarrrr Pursebop(just so you can imagine how dear you are to me hehe) I am soooo happy that Boptalk has been launched! Thank you so much for the mention on your post, but honestly, I’m just so happy in helping in however way I can, with no intentions of hitting the spotlight.. just happy to help cuz you deserve it. Boptalk is you my love, only you and your super special way of seeing things and making things happen, and always being so determined and true to everything you do. Like Laurenxolauren said to me, you’re a genius! and I’m so proud of you! My only frustration is not being able to be 100% present on this very special day (today was just crazy)… I wanted to be online all the time welcoming everyone who joined the “gang”, but unfortunately I was out the whole day buying things for my future apt… Anyways, I’m so proud of you my friend, and you know you can always count on me for anything! Even though I have never met you in real life, IG, whatsapp and viber showed me how special you are, and yes, I consider you a true friend! Now let’s rock Boptalk!!! Love you!!!

Hi love! I work at NM in the states and as of last season the all leather Chanel espadrilles were $675 and the studded ones were $925 USD. Hopefully we’ll get another shipment of them for the upcoming fall season, but can’t gaurantee that they’ll still be at that price. We don’t currently have a wait list because were still unsure of exactly what styles we’ll be getting in for the fall season, but Id be happy to keep you guys posted if you want to send me your email for Chanel updates and arrivals. :) PurseBop’s right, we do ship internationally for a $75 overseas shipping fee.

Hi All! Congrats on the new adventure Pursebop :) I’m new here and to pursebop in general and already love it! Also a long time lurker at TPF and general handbag stalker of many members here. Hoping for some actual interaction and sharing in the love of handbags in the future :P

KrysC a very warm welcome here to Boptalk :) Such a pleasure to have you here! As for these espadrilles, unfortunately I personally do not know much about them. Have you tried reaching a retailer like Neiman Marcus, or Saks – because I know they do ship Internationally. I hope someone can help you here :)

Interesting question! My bag collection is pretty humble but I only keep handbags I truly love so this one is difficult

My first Birkin was a 35cm in Capucine togo leather with GHW…. Love this bag so much, it’s such a rich saturated color, and perfect with GHW. Although I will never buy another B35 again (too big and heavy for me), I will also never part with this bag because it is very special with amazing memories, and I do think there is a need for at least ONE B35 in one’s bag collection. It is perfect for travel and whenever I need to lug a lot of things around (it does get heavy though)! Also interesting to note that this is probably my most complimented bag (by both people who know AND don’t know anything about Hermes – I think primarily because of the color).
Pic below is on the first day I took her home, I couldn’t wait to dress her up with twillys (bought on the same day!) and my hippo bag charm (one of my first Hermes purchases, along with 2 gator CDCs). It took me about an hour to tie these twillys back then :D It takes me a few minutes now.

This is a good question. 1. Chanel caviar jumbo 2. LV pochette metis 3. Hermes birkin (mix of function and style ) lol
- shoepursemomma replied 11 years ago
I usually take them off as soon as they begin to lift a little. Depends on how much use the new B is put to!
I remove as soon as it plastic is not perfect. I find palladium shows plastic more than gold. Your thoughts happybaggage? What a gorge anemone ghillies!
