Anthology of Style’s Bag-a-Palooza is Back!

Summer’s here, and so is the ultimate bag event. Anthology of Style’s Bag-a-Palooza is back with its biggest and most vibrant collection yet – over 200 handpicked vintage and new Chanel bags that perfectly capture the carefree spirit of sun, sea, and style.

After months of careful curation, CEO Kim Alpert and the AoS team have assembled a lineup that feels like a chic getaway in handbag form. Expect shimmering metallic Chanel Duma backpacks, oversized canvas totes featuring the iconic CC logo, primed for beach days and beyond, and playful Y2K-inspired minis ready to inject some nostalgia into your style. As Anthology of Style’s biggest event, this isn’t one to miss. Showcasing a stunning selection of over 200 vintage and pre-owned luxury bags, Palooza is a labor of love curated by Kim and the AoS team. With such meticulous attention to detail, this event only happens four times a year—and the grand finale for 2024 is just around the corner. Expect to see iconic vintage Chanel bags in the most coveted colors, alongside timeless Hermès Kelly’s and Birkins – there’s plenty to unwrap!

We caught up with Kim Alpert, Founder and CEO of Anthology of Style ahead of the Bag-a-Palooza event to find out more.

What is Palooza and your vision?

Palooza – aka BAG-A-PALOOZA – could very well be named the “find your dream bag show.” I spend months curating this show with the goal that anyone who shows up will leave with a bag of their dreams.

What should we expect to see during the Bag-a-Palooza event?

You should expect to experience fun, glamour, a lot of jaw-dropping, and the chance to meet other lovely women who play the same competitive sport as you do: designer bags collecting.

What are your favorite pieces from each brand?

Hermès – This lovely tabac camel B30 in Togo. I want to dive into this warm, creamy color and set up residence.

Chanel – Impossible to choose. But, my top five are:

– the most luscious, deep burgundy Diana you can imagine

– the spool Minaudiere (one of Karl’s best)

– the vintage black ostrich leather small classic double flap

– the ruby red vintage classic small caviar double flap with 24k gold plating

– and this silk rope handbag from 2000 with a gold logo bar; my favorite detail is that the ropes align so they form a spine down the center of the bag like exotic leather.
