A 7500 square foot new Hermès boutique had its opening reception in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. The location is set in the Westfield Topanga Mall. The mall underwent a massive transformation that won’t be completed until 2024 with the addition of other luxury stores as well.
Hermès was given an anchor position in the mall (usually held by large department stores) with an entrance from the outside only, not within the mall. This position enables Hermès to better connect with their clients and create an identity separate from the rest of the retail stores. The mall expansion includes the presence of Dior, Bulgari, Bottega, Celine, and Valentino nearby. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo, Saint Laurent, and more are already present in the mall.
Invited guests were treated to the first view of the boutique and an opportunity to mingle, view the new store, meet the sales associates, and the managing director of the new location, Natalie Massey. Also present and engaging was Robert Chavez, CEO of Hermès USA and Diane Mahady, President of Hermès USA.
Inventory was on full display with cases full of enticing bags and slg’s marked “for display only.” Doors open at 10 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 for business.
