In a world where fashion meets education, Monique Forster and Tilan Rajapakse, the creative minds behind Lil Spoiled Social Club, have introduced a whimsical way for toddlers and preschoolers to delve into the world of high fashion. Their recently published duo, “Learn the 1-2-3s of High Fashion” and “Learn the ABCs of High Fashion,” are not your typical children’s books. Instead, they offer a unique approach to early learning by incorporating luxury brands and designer names into the mix.

Monique, 25, the co-author of this fun series, spoke with the New York Times and insists that the goal is to “immerse your child in a world where learning meets luxury.” The books playfully encourage children to count Hermès bags and recite iconic fashion houses like Chanel, adding a dash of glamour to the traditional ABCs and 1-2-3s.

While some may question whether Lil Spoiled Social Club is peddling questionable values to innocent tots, Monique defends the concept, stating that “the response has been mainly positive.” The books, priced at $24 for the 1-2-3s edition and $20 for the ABCs edition, are intentionally cheeky, aiming to bring a smile to both children and parents alike.

Tilan Rajapakse, Monique’s 25-year-old co-author, adds a playful perspective, suggesting that at the very least, there’s the joy of hearing a child confidently say, “G is for Gucci.” According to their interview with the New York Times, the slim volumes, with their lineage tracing back to other fashion-themed titles like “The Fashion Legends Alphabet,” have found an unexpected audience beyond parents and their little ones.

“Some people see them as coffee table books,” Monique explains, sharing the surprising revelation that individuals without children have embraced these charming volumes, declaring, “This is for me.”

As Lil Spoiled Social Club challenges conventional learning methods, their books become more than just educational tools for children. They transform into delightful conversation pieces, proving that even without kids in tow, one can revel in the chic charm of “1-2-3s of High Fashion” and “ABCs of High Fashion.”
