It’s a boy for Paris Hilton and Carter Reum! Here’s a sweet and luxurious way to make a baby announcement.
Paris Hilton presented her mother Kathy Hilton with a blue Chanel handbag to announce the birth of her son, Phoenix Barron Hilton-Reum.
The couple kept the arrival of Phoenix under wraps from both of their immediate families until Paris was on the verge of breaking the news on Instagram.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Paris confessed that she gave Kathy a designer handbag and then placed Phoenix in her mother’s arms for the first time.
Fans will be able to see this special moment on the reality series “Paris In Love.”
“I was like, if I give her Chanel first, maybe she won’t be so upset that I didn’t tell her about this” — and with the grandson who, until that moment, Kathy had no idea existed. “I was holding the baby on my shoulder with a blanket over him, and then I just sat down. She’s like, ‘What is that?’ And I was like, ‘A baby … meet your grandson.’ She’s like, ‘Is this yours?’ And she starts crying. She’s like, ‘Let me hold him. He’s the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen in my life. Oh, he’s so beautiful.’ She was just in tears.”- Rolling Stone
‘’My entire life has been so public,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar. ‘I’ve never had anything for myself. We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves.’
While the surrogate was in labor, Paris went to great lengths to protect her privacy. She even disguised herself with a brunette wig and checked into the hospital under an alias.
Mom Kathy, sister Nicky and Paris are all avid Chanel fans and can often be seen with carrying a classic flap.
