You Can Order a Chanel Cocktail, Complete with Couture Jacket and All…

Chanel martini- shaken not stirred. Yes, that’s right, your next drink can be one that Coco herself would approve of. The Atrium Bar at Melbourne’s Sofitel Hotel is offering an array of bubbling beverages in honor of the Chanel exhibition currently being held at the National Gallery of Victoria.

There are a bunch of different options to choose from, but the talk of the town is one specific creation that comes complete with its own couture. The Classique Sensation is made with cognac, champagne and topped with a 24 carat gold leaf. However, it’s what’s on the glass, rather than in it, that’ll make the hearts of Chanel lovers everywhere sing. A mini couture jacket (custom, too, might we add) that is hand sewn and made using the same fabrics Chanel uses today, comes with every Classique Sensation cocktail served at The Atrium. The price tag? A hefty $400- however isn’t couture priceless?…

Understandably so, the above concoction may be hard to swallow (at least, its price is). Not to worry though, there’s another option available to you- especially if what you’re really after is a mini Chanel jacket. The Little Black Dress is a $120 cocktail made with champagne, Armagnac, maraschino liqueur (yum), black cocoa syrup egg white and accented with an edible camellia flower confection (double yum!).

Last, but certainly not the least, is the most reasonably priced La Collection Rose. For $30, you can sip to your heart’s content a selection of cocktails that pay homage to the Chanel Classic Flap. The designer delight comes in shades of pink and beige and is made with vodka, liqueur, toasted Szechuan peppercorn and completed with edible ruby chocolate purse (definitely Instagram worthy).

So there you have it- who would’ve thought that the next Chanel ‘IT’ item would be delightful drinks such as the ones we’ve shared with you today. For our Australian readers, will you be giving any a try? What do you think of these carefully created creations? Are they Coco approved? Be sure to share your thoughts with us!
