Chanel Pre-Fall/Winter 2026 (26B) Handbags Are Here!

No runway, no front row, no fanfare – just a fresh chapter of Chanel handbags. Released as the first boutique collection of the Fall-Winter 2026 season, Chanel’s 26B Pre-Collection arrives with an array of new handbags designed to bridge the gap between summer and autumn. The lineup also offers an early glimpse at the house’s next accessory direction ahead of the main runway collection landing in September. 

The 26B Pre-Collection also marks the evolution of some of Blazy’s stand out handbag designs. Both the smooth grained calfskin Maxi Flap and the suede quilted interpretation have been scaled down into new mini silhouettes, broadening the appeal of the minimalist design.

Let’s take a closer look at the standout styles. . .

Blazy offers a new interpretation of the Classic 11.12 in Black lambskin, distinguished by smaller-scale diamond quilting. Applied more densely across the surface, the revised pattern creates a noticeably puffier texture while retaining the bag’s instantly recognizable silhouette.

Chanel’s 11.12 Handbag in chevron offers a traditional take, arriving in vibrant lipstick Red grained calfskin accented with gold-tone hardware. A small size Classic Handbag arrives in a new Dark Blue shade. 

Bringing a dose of disco-era glamour to the lineup, the Mini Classic Handbag is reimagined in metallic Gold crumpled calfskin, paired with contrasting silver-tone hardware.

The coveted suede Maxi Flap Bag returns for 26B in a fresh palette. The larger silhouette, measuring 10.2 x 15.2 x 4.3 inches, is crafted in Dark Gray suede and defined by its flat vintage-inspired quilting and leather-interwoven chain strap. Meanwhile, the slightly smaller version, measuring 7.7 x 12.6 x 3.9 inches, arrives in a rich Olive Green.

For a pared-back take, the grained calfskin version, which forgoes quilting entirely, returns in Gray and Dark Brown, each accented with gold-tone hardware.

The lineup also includes several seasonal interpretations, including a plush Beige shearling Maxi Flap that brings added texture to the silhouette while retaining its signature quilting.

Elsewhere, a tactile Burgundy suede calfskin version offers a fresh take on the design, finished with flat quilting and contrasting Light Pink stitching.

Building on the success of the sell-out Maxi Flap, Chanel introduces a new mini interpretation for 26B. Retaining the clean lines and pared-back aesthetic of the original, the compact silhouette translates one of Matthieu Blazy’s most coveted handbag designs into an evening-friendly format.

First up, the suede version preserves the original’s flat vintage-inspired quilting and leather-interwoven chain strap. Measuring a compact 5.1 x 7.9 x 2.4 inches, it is offered in Dark Brown, Dark Beige, Dark Gray, and Blue, each finished with gold-tone hardware.

The grained calfskin version follows the same compact proportions while embracing an even more minimalist aesthetic. Replacing the chain strap with a slim adjustable leather shoulder strap, it retains the slouchy double-flap construction of its larger counterpart. This iteration is available in Black, Beige, White, and Light Green, all accented with gold-tone hardware.

Bringing a touch of retro charm to the lineup, this single-flap design is crafted from patchwork suede calfskin in a rich palette of Red, Gray, Beige, Black, Pink, and White. Measuring 5.3 x 9.6 x 2 inches, the silhouette is secured with a signature CC turn-lock closure and finished with an adjustable leather-interwoven chain strap.

Another vintage-coded design stands out through its distinctive quilting. Neither quite chevron nor wave, the softened V-shaped motif echoes the shape of the flap. Crafted in patinated lambskin, the Flap Bag secures with a gold-tone CC turn-lock, while four eyelets and an adjustable chain strap complete the design. Available in two sizes, the larger measures 6.3 x 10 x 2.8 inches and the smaller 4.3 x 10.6 x 2.4 inches. Choose from Dark Brown or Camel.

An embellished take on the Flap Bag pairs glossy Burgundy calfskin with bold hardware accents. Measuring 5.7 x 8.7 x 3.1 inches, this style features plush quilting and an oversized CC turn-lock that extends slightly beyond the flap. Its adjustable chain strap is complemented by a second draped chain detail across the front, lending the design a distinctly jewelry-inspired finish.

Chanel continues to play with texture and sparkle in its other Flap Bag offerings. First up is a Small Flap Bag inspired by the open-work mesh construction of the Coco Beach 2026 collection. Crafted in Black mesh and embellished with tonal strass, the 5.1 x 8.3 x 2.6-inch silhouette strikes a seasonal balance.

Elsewhere, a duo of Small Flap Bags turns up the glamour. Measuring 5.5 x 8.3 x 3.1 inches, one arrives entirely covered in fringed Silver sequins. The other pairs Black and White sequins with some of Chanel’s most recognizable symbols, including the house’s lucky number 5 and four-leaf clover, rendered across the surface in shimmering sequins.

Turning east-west there’s a new elongated Flap Bag in the mix. Measuring 3.9 x 9.8 x 1.8 inches, the sleek silhouette is crafted in puffy quilted lambskin and secured with the house’s signature CC turn-lock closure. Inside, it retains the familiar front slip pocket of the Classic Flap, while replacing the iconic double-flap construction with a single compartment. The design also forgoes a chain strap in favor of a wide, adjustable leather shoulder strap, allowing for shoulder and crossbody styling. The Flap Bag is available in Black lambskin or Dark Beige suede with contrasting Black trim.

One of Chanel’s newest house icons receives a seasonal refresh for 26B through an array of tactile new fabrications. The Chanel 25 Mini, measuring 7.9 x 8.7 x 4.9 inches, is introduced in grained Light Pink calfskin, vibrant Red jersey, and a White and Red cotton-wool tweed. The Small, measuring 11.8 x 10.2 x 5.5 inches, follows with an equally textural lineup in Green calfskin, Dark Gray felt, washed denim, plush Beige shearling, and a shimmering Black and Gold tweed.

Better known among collectors as the “Chanel Kelly,” the Mini Shopping Bag returns for 26B in a trio of playful new finishes. Measuring 5.1 x 7.5 x 2.8 inches, the compact top-handle silhouette is reimagined in materials that range from high-shine metallics to tactile textures.

Leading the lineup are two sparkling strass iterations, offered in Silver and Black. Both feature a shimmering chainmail-like finish and are accented with gold-tone hardware. For a softer take, the bag is also offered in plush dark brown shearling, giving the structured silhouette a cozy, teddy-like appearance. Completing the selection is a quilted metallic pink lambskin iteration.

New for the season, the Small Shopping Bag translates Matthieu Blazy’s pared-back aesthetic into a relaxed bucket-style silhouette. Crafted from smooth quilted lambskin, the spacious design measures 9.8 x 11.8 x 4.7 inches and is defined by its slouchy shape, drawstring closure, and signature CC turn-lock fastening. Delicate dual chain straps complete the look, with one rendered in Burgundy and the other matching the color of the bag. The style is available in Dark Brown and Light Pink.

Rounding out the family is the Small Bucket Bag, a compact interpretation of the silhouette measuring 7.5 × 7.1 × 5.9 inches. This scaled-down alternative is offered in Black.

Putting the iconic CC front and center, the new Shopping Tote features  an oversized appliqué logo across the front. Offered in Mini (8.1 x 8.3 x 5.9 inches), Small (11.8 x 14.2 x 6.7 inches), and Large (13 x 16.9 x 7.9 inches) sizes, the style is available in either quilted calfskin or striped canvas. Designed with dual leather top handles for grab-and-go ease, the bag includes a pair of chain shoulder straps for added versatility. Color options include Black and Burgundy calfskin, as well as striped canvas versions in Ecru, Black, Beige, and Red, or Black, White, and Gray.

Following its return in the Coco Beach 2026 collection, the mid-2000s Coco Cabas joins the 26B lineup in leather. The spacious, open-top tote retains its signature relaxed, slouchy silhouette, rendered here in flat-quilted calfskin and finished with an oversized CC appliqué across the front. Dual leather-interwoven chain straps complete the design, and the bag measures 7.9 x 16.9 x 6.7 inches. It’s available in Black and Dark Brown leather, as well as Beige, Blue, and Burgundy suede.

Another returning silhouette is the Shopping Bag from the Métiers d’Art 2026 collection. Crafted in smooth calfskin free of quilting and oversized hardware, the structured tote is secured with a discreet CC turn-lock closure and finished with dual leather top handles alongside a leather-interwoven chain shoulder strap. Now offered in a larger size measuring 15.4 x 13.8 x 4.7 inches, it returns in Black with silver-tone hardware, as well as Dark Beige and Dark Brown, both paired with gold-tone hardware. The Shopping Bag also arrives in Dark Beige suede with flat quilting detail.

Matthieu Blazy’s debut Bowling Bag, introduced in the Spring-Summer 2026 collection, returns with an expanded size range. With a minimalist aesthetic, the design pairs flat-quilted suede with dual leather top handles, a zip-top closure, a clochette, and a discreet CC emblem. This season, its design language extends into the small leather goods category with the introduction of the Clutch with Leather Strap, a compact interpretation measuring 5.1 x 8.3 x 3.5 inches. At the opposite end of the spectrum, a new Maxi size (12.6 x 16.5 x 8.3 inches) offers a roomier take on the silhouette.

Subtle CC details seen throughout Matthieu Blazy’s ready-to-wear collections carry over to the 26B Bucket Bag. Crafted from flat-quilted lambskin, the Large Bucket Bag is lined in Burgundy lambskin, with the contrasting hue extending to the underside of the wide adjustable shoulder strap. Leather CC motifs secure the strap to either side of the silhouette, while a CC-detailed drawstring closure provides a final nod to the house signature. Offered in two sizes – the Small measures 9.1 x 9.1 x 5.7 inches in Dark Beige suede calfskin with Black trim, while the roomier Large comes in at 11.8 x 12.2 x 7.5 inches and is available exclusively in Black.

Chanel’s new Hobo Bag embraces a pared-back aesthetic, with subtle uses of the house’s famous codes. A Small Hobo Bag is crafted from smooth Black calfskin in a curved silhouette with a rounded top handle, measuring 7.1 x 9.4 x 2.4 inches. The CC details are subtle but present– a discreet CC emblem adorns the drawstring closure, CC-engraved gold-tone rivets secure the rounded top handle, and a leather-enlaced chain provides versatility.

Another new Hobo option includes only a small metal CC on the front. Measuring 8.3 x 11.8 x 3.5 inches, the grained calfskin half-moon silhouette is defined by its clean lines and minimal hardware, just a small CC to the front. A zip-top closure keeps contents secure, while an adjustable shoulder strap adds versatility. 

For a utilitarian approach to hands-free styling, a new Backpack offers a practical alternative to the season’s shoulder style. Rendered in Dark Gray suede calfskin with flat quilting, the satchel-inspired silhouette is fitted with a leather top handle and chain-detailed shoulder straps. Measuring 6.7 x 10 x 2.4 inches, the front is anchored by two hardware heavy clasp closures, while a CC logo finishes the look.

Completing the lineup is a Minaudière inspired by Chanel’s iconic Flap Bag. Crafted from glossy Black plexiglass with contrasting Pearly White trim, this bag faithfully recreates the house classic in compact proportions (5.3 x 4.7 x 1.8 inches). A gold-tone CC turn-lock closure and leather-interwoven chain strap reinforce the familiar design codes.
