Are Hermès Special Orders Limited to Only a Mini Kelly or Kelly Pochette or the Full Range of Sizes of Quota Bags this Season?

I am confused by the newest article on Special Orders for 2026 published this week where only Mini Kellys and Kelly Pochettes were offered to write a Special Order. I have been promised a Special Order this Spring and am wondering if there are limitations on what style and size Birkin or Kelly I must choose. I am in the U.S.

Dear Confused About 2026 Special Order Offerings:

To clarify, our information now is that the full range of sizes for Birkins (25, 30, 35, and 40) and Kellys (20, 25, 28, 32, and Kelly Pochettes) are available to create a Special Order.

Initially, our first information on details of the 2026 Special Order offerings came from a community member who was given the opportunity to create a Horseshoe stamp (Special Order) in Paris. The offering only had options to create a Mini Kelly or a Kelly Pochette at that time.

Since then we received a report that another community member was able to write a Special Order of a larger Kelly from a Paris boutique. We expect the full range of Birkins and Kellys to be available as a Special Order option both in Paris, the U.S. and other countries.

We have also heard from a community member who has created a Special Order at their home boutique in the U.S. this month. Their experience included the opportunity to create a Birkin 25, 30, 35, or 40. They provided us with a photo of the color chart used to create a Birkin in Exotics, Chèvre Mysore, Veau Epsom, Veau Swift, Veau Togo, and Ostrich. Clemence leather is not represented on this list although it has been in the past.

The big news for this season continues to be the return of Ostrich leather on the Special Order leather options. As you may recall, in 2025 Ostrich was removed from most Special Order offerings except under limited circumstances.

It is very early in the Special Order season for 2026. We predict that Birkins and Kellys of all sizes will likely be available to customize through the Special Order program. Stay tuned for more updates as we receive them.
