Big statement shoulders lead Nicolas Ghesquière’s Louis Vuitton Fall–Winter 2026 vision. Presented on March 10, 2026, at the Cour Carrée of the Musée du Louvre, the show unfolded within a sculptural landscape. “An abstraction suspended between past and future, the outside and in converge to portray a pastoral tableau, echoing the verdant valleys of founder Louis Vuitton’s hometown in the Jura Mountains,” the Maison explained.

Muted earth tones— charcoal gray, rich browns, and ivory were energized with pops of fuchsia and burgundy, setting the seasonal palette. These colors carried through bubble hems and exaggerated silhouettes, which played with unusual proportions and gave the collection its architectural drama. Textures —including fringe and feathers —added depth, volume, and movement, while cold-weather fur accessories draped across models added seasonal warmth. Statement hats, and in some cases oversized balanced atop models heads, punctuating the ensembles with Ghesquière’s signature flair.

Accessories were pared down but memorable, with Louis Vuitton’s trunks taking center stage in both soft and hard iterations, including Side Trunks and Speedy styles. Larger backpacks were styled with rolled-up blankets or sleeping bags, ready for the pasture. A new tie-handle bag carried on shepherd sticks added whimsy, while cowbells replaced clochettes on select bags to echo the theme.

Here’s a closer look at three new standout styles from the LV Fall-Winter 2026 lineup.
Louis Vuitton Knotted Bag
A new soft trunk–inspired style debuted on the runway, immediately drawing attention with its supple construction and distinctive knotted top handle. Its body resembles a fuller interpretation of the Side Trunk, retaining reinforced corner details while forgoing hardware entirely in favor of a tone-on-tone, all-leather finish.

Patch pockets appear at each end, secured with LV-adorned tab fastenings, while the bag’s sides extend into leather panels that knot together to form the top handle. The oversized knotted strap is reminiscent of the design seen on the Mahina Why Knot bag, reimagined here at a larger scale. Likely fully adjustable, the style was presented in black, white, vibrant green, and a rich yellow. On the runway, it was styled on the models wrists and also draped over shepherd’s sticks, reinforcing the collection’s pastoral theme.

Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Shoulder Bag
Louis Vuitton introduces a fresh iteration of the Petite Malle, which was first unveiled in Fall/Winter 2014. In place of the original hard-sided structure, the updated style opts for a softer build, though reinforced corners remain as a subtle nod to its trunk-inspired heritage. Hardware is pared back, giving the piece a more streamlined appearance while still preserving key house signatures.

The bag is finished with a zip-around closure and retains the iconic leather tab and S-lock clasp. Adjustable longline shoulder straps attach directly to the body, allowing the bag to be carried by hand or worn over the shoulder. In keeping with the collection’s theme, a clochette is replaced with a slightly oversized cowbell charm. On the runway, the updated Petite Malle Shoulder Bag appeared in classic Monogram canvas with Vachetta leather, a braided-effect tan leather variation.

Two statement interpretations of the Petite Malle also appeared on the runway. Here, the bag’s surface forgoes plain leather in favor of a layered arrangement of leather straps, each finished with its own buckles—almost as though multiple belts had been draped across the bag’s exterior.
One version was rendered in a mix of green and blue tones and appeared to feature a denser arrangement of buckled straps, creating a more dramatic effect. A second iteration arrived in a more neutral palette of brown shades – both paired with the cowbell inspired clochette.

For a more classic aesthetic, two hard-sided versions were presented. One was rendered in black leather, while the other was crafted in Monogram canvas and adorned with all-over belted detailing, both retaining the traditional functioning S-lock closure paired with the new shoulder strap design.

Louis Vuitton Peekaboo Speedy
Neither quite a Speedy nor Nicolas Ghesquière’s Fall–Winter 2025 Express bag, this new hybrid silhouette carries a hint of the Fendi Peekaboo in its design. Crafted from smooth black leather, the bag features a cylindrical shape reminiscent of both the Speedy and the Express, while embracing an inside-out aesthetic that reveals a contrasting interior.

On the runway, one version opened to a tan crocodile lining, while another revealed classic Monogram canvas—almost as though a second bag were tucked inside. The internal compartment secures with an S-lock closure, while elongated shoulder straps are fixed to the outer edges of the bag for easier access. The finishing touch, a cowbell inspired clochette.
At the Fall–Winter 2026 re-see, the bag was also shown with a rich emerald green leather interior.
