Billionaires, Bling & Bridal Couture: Inside the Bezos-Sánchez Wedding

After the ultra-extravagant Ambani wedding dazzled the world with its unmatched opulence, another headline-making celebration has arrived. This time, it’s the star-studded union of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez – rumored to have already tied the knot privately, but now celebrating with a lavish Venice affair.

Hot off the heels of the bride’s lavish Parisian bachelorette party—rumored to cost $625,000 and attended by Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, and Katy Perry—all eyes were on the main event.

And while the three-day event in Venice promised all the hallmarks of a billionaire fairytale, it wasn’t without its twists. A last-minute venue change, reportedly due to security concerns and the threat of protests, proved that even the most meticulously planned weddings aren’t immune to a little chaos. Still, the show went on – and did so in serious style.

With only 200 guests in attendance, the wedding carried a rumored price tag of $10 million to $20 million, roughly $50,000 per guest. Among the star-studded guest list of just 200 attendees were Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, and Tom Brady.

Let’s take a closer look at the most memorable fashion moments from the Bezos-Sánchez wedding weekend.

The Billionaire Bling

Before the wedding couture and celebrations, it all started with one unforgettable detail: the engagement ring. At first glance, Lauren Sánchez’s engagement ring appears to feature a classic cushion-cut stone. However, the center gem is actually a rare pink diamond with a subtle rose hue and an estimated weight of 30 carats. While the exact price remains undisclosed, jewelry experts estimate the ring could be valued between $3 million and $5 million, making it one of the most notable sparklers in recent celebrity history.

Touchdown in Style

The couple touched down in Venice by helicopter on June 25, arriving at the Aman Hotel after spending time cruising the Croatian coast aboard Bezos’s mega yacht. Surprisingly opting for an all-black ensemble, the bride paired the sleek look with statement Tom Ford padlock heels, Celine Triomphe sunglasses, and a chic black satin bag – possibly The Row’s Cecily Mini Satin Shopper.

Later that evening, Sánchez refreshed her look for the first pre-wedding dinner, opting for vintage Alexander McQueen from the brand’s Spring 2003 collection. The black bias-cut one-shoulder gown featured diagonal white beaded stripes. She paired the archival look with a black satin clutch bag.

They weren’t the only stylish arrivals. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner also stepped out in coordinated all-black looks. Khloé Kardashian, however, brought the drama – turning heads in a bold leopard-print one-piece, accessorized with Pharrell Williams’ now-iconic Louis Vuitton Speedy P9 Bandoulière 40 in candy pink.

Kylie Jenner soon followed, arriving with her children in tow. She kept things chic in an all-black look, elevated by a statement accessory: the Alaïa leopard-print calf hair tote, slung effortlessly over her shoulder. Even daughter Stormi brought her own luxury to the scene, carrying a baby blue mini Chanel clutch with gold-tone hardware.

Expanding on the royal guest list, Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa joined the festivities. Princess Rajwa carried Bottega Veneta’s oversized Hop bag in the large size, crafted in supple light brown suede.

Oprah Winfrey went against the unofficial black dress code, opting instead for an all-white ensemble. She paired it with a Brunello Cucinelli large leather and raffia tote for a touch of texture.

On the morning of the main event, Lauren Sánchez stepped out in a chic ivory two-piece, her look elevated by Hermès Brides de Gala en Fleurs scarf tied docle vita style, in the Ébène, Blanc, and Gris Anthracite colorway. She completed the ensemble with the ultra-exclusive Hermès Kelly Midas 25 Sellier in Blue Sapphire crocodile, distinguished by its rare handle design: a striking combination of crocodile and 18K gold.

Adding to the sparkle, Sánchez showcased a second impressive diamond ring alongside her original $2.5 million pink diamond, now worn on her right hand. The new elongated oval-cut Lorraine Schwartz ring is estimated to be up to 45 carats and valued at over $4 million.

For the wedding, Kim Kardashian wore a slinky, chocolate-brown gown that appears to draw inspiration from a vintage Versace look, originally worn by Claudia Schiffer on the Autumn/Winter 1996 runway. While Schiffer’s version featured a sheer finish, Kim’s had a more opaque look, retaining the signature chainmail-like texture and silhouette. Kim even shared the archival reference on Instagram, offering a glimpse into the look’s throwback roots.

Marking her 41st birthday while attending the wedding festivities, Khloé Kardashian opted for a shimmering baby-pink Tamara Ralph couture dress with a matching feather-trimmed cape. She styled the look with a sleek ballerina bun, oversized black sunglasses, and diamond accessories by Lorraine Schwartz.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner attended the main event in signature style, both opting for figure-skimming silhouettes. Kendall wore a black Tom Ford ensemble with sheer detailing, accessorized with what appears to be The Row’s Cecily Mini Satin Shopper in black, marking its second appearance of the week. Adding a touch of drama, Kendall finished her outfit with a bold statement Colombian emerald necklace and earrings, designed by renowned celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

Kylie, meanwhile, wore a corseted gown in what looks to be a icey blue gray shade, rather than white. Her gown was designed by London-based designer Dilara Findikoglu, known for her avant-garde and body-conscious silhouettes.

Singer-songwriter Jewel opted for a statement red gown featuring oversized floral detailing. She paired it with an equally eye-catching Louis Vuitton Capucines Mini in shimmering silver. The bag’s textured finish suggests it could be crafted from an exotic leather.

Model Brooks Nader embraced soft elegance for the occasion, wearing a flowing strapless pink gown. She paired the romantic look with a light gray velvet box clutch, adding a subtle touch of texture to her ensemble.

The Dress Reveal: Dolce & Gabbana for the Bride

It’s the look everyone was waiting for. Lauren Sánchez said “I do” to Jeff Bezos in a wedding ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice — and yes, the dress delivered.

Early rumors suggested that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were behind the bridal look, especially after the couple was spotted attending the designers’ celebrations earlier in the week. As it turns out, the whispers were true. Sánchez walked down the aisle in a custom mermaid-style Dolce & Gabbana gown, complete with sheer lace sleeves, a corseted bodice, and a row of 180 silk chiffon-covered buttons down the front.

The gown, said to be inspired by one worn by Sophia Loren in the 1958 film ‘Houseboat’, was paired with a dramatic tulle-and-lace veil and reportedly took 900 hours of atelier work to complete.
