Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 Bags Are Finally Here!

Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel landed in New York, both literally and figuratively, with the Métiers d’Art 2026 collection. Although officially set for a June 2 release, much like the early Paris drop and frenzy of his first grouping, select Chanel New York locations are already offering the items to select clients ahead of the global drop beginning May 28. 

Métiers d’Art, Chanel’s annual showcase of its specialist ateliers and craft métiers, has always sat slightly outside the main ready-to-wear rhythm — less about everyday wearability, and more about pushing technique, texture, and execution to the forefront. For the handbag lineup this means texture, from sequins and suede, faux croc, and rich velvet, alongside animal prints which through with a bolder, more graphic intent.

Familiar silhouettes from Blazy’s repertoire return in refreshed fabrications, including the 26S Small Shopping Tote  and Maxi Flap Bag, both reworked for the season. Alongside them, more playful, unexpected designs emerge — from squirrel and giraffe flap bags to a Big Apple novelty piece — leaning fully into the collection’s New York spirit.

Let’s take a closer look at the standout handbags from the 26A lineup. . .

Chanel’s Classic 11.12 handbag has popped. Reworked as the “Popcorn” edition, the silhouette is crafted in embroidered wool crepe and raffia, scattered with glass bead kernels across the surface for a playful textural twist. Finished in an ecru and red braided trim nodding to a classic cinema popcorn bucket — this bag is equal parts snack, statement, and something you’ll  want to take to the movies.

The Classic 11.12 continues its reinvention in a denim iteration, embroidered and embellished with gold and green glass beads alongside strass detailing. Forgoing quilting, the surface is finished with a delicate floral motif, adding a softer contrast to the blue denim silhouette. 

And yes — there’s tweed too. The 11.12 is also reworked in a more traditional interpretation, crafted from quilted cotton and wool tweed in a refined palette of white, ecru, and black, finished with gold-tone hardware. 

For those seeking a more pared-down look, the 11.12 Handbag also arrives in seasonal shades for 26A. Choose from camel, green lambskin, or dark khaki grained shiny calfskin. 

It wouldn’t be a Blazy Chanel drop without the highly hyped and coveted Maxi Flap. Defined by its generous proportions, unquilted design, and leather shoulder straps, the silhouette keeps the focus on form and function. This season, the roomy silhouette returns, again in grained calfskin, with the larger size measuring 10.2 x 15.2 x 4.3 inches and its slightly smaller counterpart coming in at 7.7 x 12.6 x 3.9 inches. It is offered in seasonal shades of camel with silver-tone hardware, and dark khaki, green, and light beige with gold-tone hardware.

Alongside it, the suede Maxi Flap joins the mix in the smaller size, also measuring 7.7 x 12.6 x 3.9 inches. Rendered in camel and dark brown, both finished with gold-tone hardware, the style retains Chanel’s signatures, including flat quilting and interwoven leather-and-chain straps.

Blazy’s Maxi Flap lineup extends beyond the neutrals, with all styles coming in at a roomy 7.7 x 12.6 x 3.9 inches.

Blazy turns up the heat with the flame-inspired Flap Bag, rendered in a fiery mix of yellow, red, and black. The fabric Maxi Flap brings into bold graphic impact, finished with a softly undulating flap trimmed in red and finished with gold-tone hardware.

The Maxi Flap also leans into its wild side in bold leopard print. Crafted from textured tweed and mixed fibres, this graphic iteration forgoes quilting in favour of a full animal-print surface. 

For a more textural take, the Maxi Flap Bag arrives in seriously plush brown shearling. So fluffy that the CC turn-lock barely peeks through the surface.

A flat-quilted iteration in blue-washed denim is also available, finished with gold-tone hardware.

If the Popcorn Classic 11.12 has you set for the cinema, the Tonight or Never Maxi Flap Bag takes things to the stage. Inspired by Lili Hatvany’s 1930 Broadway play, the design is fully drenched in sequins, depicting a scene lifted straight from the spotlight. 

Beyond the classic silhouettes and Maxis, the collection introduces a broad range of Flap Bag styles. Fringe, sequins, suede, and heavily textured finishes appear throughout, spanning everything from compact minis to larger statement iterations.

Channeling Gatsby-era glamour, this Flap Bag arrives in an ecru base, densely embellished with cascading glass-bead fringe in silver, black, and tonal ecru, forming a playful poodle motif across the surface. Measuring 6.1 x 10.2 x 2.4 inches, the design is finished with a chain shoulder strap and is secured with a discreet CC turn-lock closure.

A standout from Blazy’s Spring-Summer 2026 debut returns for Métiers d’Art, reworked as the Flap Bag in dark beige suede. Measuring 5.9 x 10 x 3.1 inches, the slouchy silhouette features oversized flat-stitched quilting and a double-chain top handle. The design replaces the circular eyelets with CC details, while the CC turn-lock closure is reversed to reveal the engraved “Chanel Paris” plate usually found at the back of the signature fastening.

Blazy also brings his animal print to the Small Flap Bag this season. Rendered in a metallic leopard motif, the design is assembled in a combination of orange and black sequins for a high-shine finish. Measuring 5.5 x 8.3 x 3.1 inches, it sits slightly larger than the Mini Classic Rectangular Flap Bag.

The collection’s sole Reissue-inspired style arrives in the form of the Mini Flap Bag. Crafted in black lambskin, the design is overlaid with a graphic metallic gold crocodile-scale motif across the top panel. The Mini silhouette measures 5.3 x 7.9 x 2.8 inches.

Chanel’s Mini Flap Bag meets menagerie with this series for 26A. First up, the statement Giraffe Mini Flap Bag. Rendered in dark burgundy lambskin, the design measures 4.9 x 7.7 x 2.4 inches and retains the house’s signature quilting, CC turn-lock, and double-chain shoulder strap. A sculptural metal giraffe head extends from one side, while a tasselled tail detail finishes the opposite end. Four small metal feet anchor the silhouette.

Next, the Squirrel Mini Flap Bag continues the furry friend narrative in dark khaki lambskin, slightly smaller at 4.7 x 7.7 x 2.4 inches. Built with the same construction the design features a gold-tone metal squirrel head at one end, with a fluffy shearling tail extending along the chain shoulder strap. 

The new Large Flap Bag builds on archival references with a structured trapezoid silhouette. Measuring 16.9 x 11 x 2.4 inches, it is crafted in black shiny calfskin with a quilted exterior, with flashes of dark burgundy around the flap. The full flap secures with the iconic CC turn-lock, while a wide adjustable shoulder strap extends directly from the body of the bag for a seamless finish.

Keeping things classic in black quilted lambskin, the Small Flap rounds out the category. Measuring 4.7 x 8.5 x 1.7 inches, it retains the height of the Mini Classic Rectangular Flap Bag while extending the silhouette by 0.6 inches for a more elongated profile. Finished with a gold-tone CC turn-lock and a delicate chain shoulder strap, the design is also offered in pale blue.

Beyond the Flap Bags with chain straps are top handle styles, some with longer straps and some without.

First up, a structured spotted iteration rendered in textured lambskin with a striking white-and-black finish. Measuring 10.2 x 9.6 x 3.7 inches, the elongated rectangular silhouette secures with a classic CC turn-lock closure. Forgoing the traditional chain shoulder strap, this style instead features a belt-like adjustable leather top handle with animal-shaped charm detailing, giving the polished shape a slightly edgier feel.

The Mini Flap with Top Handle arrives in a compact silhouette measuring 5.7 x 7.7 x 2 inches, crafted in either shiny calfskin or crocodile-embossed calfskin. Defined by its gently rounded profile, the design features a CC turn-lock closure and a chain strap that drapes across the bag when not in use. A curved top handle is fixed to the body with gold stud accents, adding additional structure. The style is offered in burgundy or green. For a more classic look, the design is also available in shiny calfskin in dark burgundy and black. 

With a similar aesthetic and maximal impact, there’s the Maxi Flap with Top Handle. Measuring 9.4 x 12.2 x 0.5 inches, the style is crafted in glossy crocodile-embossed calfskin and finished with an envelope-style flap secured by a CC turn-lock. A matching card holder attaches via a chain strap and slips neatly into a front slip pocket. The design is completed with a curved top handle and a long shoulder strap, and is offered in dark grey.

A fan favorite from 26S, Blazy revisits the now-iconic Large Shopping Bag in a fresh fabrication. The roomy design (13 x 16.9 x 6.9 inches) pairs a flat-quilted body in dark beige suede with contrasting camel grained calfskin for the flap and top handles. The front flap secures with the signature CC turn-lock, subtly concealing a slip pocket beneath.

A slightly smaller style measures 9.1 x 15 x 6.3 inches, available in the same suede and grained calfskin combination in black.

A new silhouette enters the Tote lineup, defined by a semi-structured trapezoidal shape and envelope-style flap. Named the Small Tote, the ladylike design is defined by contrasting leathers and tones, with its body rendered in grained calfskin and the envelope-style flap in smooth lambskin with chevron stitching. Measuring 9.4 x 11.4 x 5.9 inches, the open-top style features a roomy interior, while the envelope flap secures a generously sized front pocket with a CC turn-lock closure. A long, curved shoulder strap allows the bag to be worn on the shoulder or carried by hand, as four protective feet add structure and durability at the base. The style comes in black and burgundy, as well as beige and black, each paired with gold-tone hardware. 

A larger version, measuring 10.6 x 4.2 x 7.1 inches, joins the lineup with a silhouette that feels reminiscent of the Louis Vuitton Capucines. Simply named the Tote, the design refines the proportions of the original into a sleeker, more extended shape. It is offered exclusively in black and burgundy.

The Small Shopping Bag joins the lineup as one of the more minimalist offerings. Stripped of quilting and oversized hardware, the calfskin design carries a pared-down, almost paper-bag sensibility. Measuring 11.2 x 9.3 x 3.7 inches, it is secured with a small CC turn-lock closure and finished with dual leather top handles, alongside a chain shoulder strap. The style is offered in three shades — black, dark burgundy, and dark beige, each paired with gold-tone hardware.

Blazy sizes up the Shopping Bag from his 26S debut, reworking its proportions into a more generous Tote silhouette, measuring 12 x 14.2 x 4.7 inches. Rendered in black lambskin with flat quilting, the design retains the house’s CC-shaped eyelets framing the interwoven leather-and-chain shoulder straps, now set against a cleaner, more slouchy profile. For a more trend-led look, the Shopping Bag is also offered in dark beige suede, and blue denim. 

Sticking with flat quilting, another new Tote silhouette takes a more angular direction. Crafted in black calfskin and measuring 12.6 x 12.2 x 4.3 inches, the design is defined by a bold V-shaped cut-out at the front, revealing a contrasting burgundy inner compartment. The interior pocket is secured with a vintage-inspired CC kiss-lock closure, while leather top handles and a long chain shoulder strap offer versatile carry options. The design is offered in black and burgundy, alongside a textural monochrome moment in calf hair. 

The highly coveted Chanel 25 Mini (7.9 x 8.7 x 4.9 inches) returns in a new fluffy lambskin finish, first glimpsed on Kylie Minogue at the Fall-Winter 2026 runway ahead of its official launch. Available in a cheetah print, as well as a plain black version – each style is finished with gold-tone hardware.

Other Mini iterations arrive in metallic silver calfskin and textured black tweed. In the smaller size, the direction turns more casual, reworked in washed blue denim.

It’s not just the Chanel 25 that sees spots. The Chanel 31 Mini Shopping Bag (8.7 x 9.1 x 2 inches) arrives in the same fluffy cheetah-print lambskin, trimmed with glossy black accents.

Reminiscent of the North–South silhouettes seen in the raffia Shopping Bags from the Coco Beach 2026 lineup, this Large Bucket Bag takes a streamlined approach. Measuring 13.2 x 13.4 x 5.3 inches, it is crafted in flat-quilted dark brown suede, with the open-top design secured by a tab fastening anchored by a CC turn-lock. Finished with contrasting leather straps that appear to be adjustable, the bag can be styled on the shoulder or carried by hand.

The Large Hobo Bag reworks classic Chanel codes with a more contemporary silhouette. Crafted in quilted lambskin, it features a slim leather shoulder strap attached via CC hardware details. A diagonal zip pocket runs across the front with dual zip pulls, accented at each end with a metal-and-enamel “Coco Chanel” charm and a black Labrador charm, joined together via a micro leather interwoven chain leash. Measuring 7.1 x 11.4 x 3.1 inches, the style is available in burgundy and dark khaki. 

A Small Bowling Bag joins the lineup, defined by puffy dark khaki lambskin quilting and a slightly curved silhouette. Measuring 6.3 x 9.8 x 0.9 inches, the style is finished with chain shoulder straps threaded through Blazy’s signature CC motif eyelets.

For the NYC commuter, Blazy introduces a CC-coded Briefcase to the 26A offering. Crafted from grained calfskin and finished with a subtle CC emblem, the design features a zip-around fastening reminiscent of Chanel’s Vanity Cases. Measuring 10.6 x 15 x 3.5 inches, it is completed with a flat top handle and a removable shoulder strap. The 26A Briefcase is offered exclusively in black with gold-tone hardware.

The classic Chanel Camera Case is upsized for 26S, arriving in a maxi format measuring 7.1 x 12.4 x 3.1 inches. Crafted in quilted suede calfskin, the design features a slip front pocket accented with a small CC turn-lock, while the main compartment secures with a zip-top closure. Dual interwoven leather-and-chain shoulder straps complete the silhouette with gold-tone hardware. The style is also available in black lambskin. 

Blazy draws on the archives for Chanel’s new Waist Bag, reworking the iconic 1990s Triple Turn-Lock silhouette with a contemporary twist. Here, dual CC turn-locks take centre stage on the front flap, set against puffy quilted lambskin. The integrated belt strap extends from the body of the bag and secures with a buckle fastening, allowing it to be styled crossbody, on the shoulder, or at the waist. The design is offered in dark brown with gold-tone hardware.

The Clutch with Chain returns from 26S in a range of new fabrications and colorways. Measuring 7.1 x 11.8 x 5.9 inches, the generously sized silhouette is defined by its structured, cuboid shape and subtle pleated detailing at the sides, secured at the top with a CC emblem closure. This season, the style arrives in cheetah-print lambskin, a cow-print motif, camel flat-quilted lambskin, and puffy black lambskin, all finished with gold-tone hardware.

Echoing the 26S Messenger Bag, Blazy carries through the stitched CC emblem to the new Large Zipped Pouch. Stripped of quilting, the design places the logo front and center. Measuring 10 x 15.6 x 3.3 inches, the spacious style arrives in three finishes — crocodile-embossed calfskin in burgundy, grained calfskin in dark khaki, and blue denim.

Arriving as the sibling to the Mini Flap with Top Handle is the Clutch with Chain. Defined by a cylindrical East–West barrel silhouette, the design retains the same flap-front closure and CC turn-lock, along with a curved top handle secured to the body with hardware detailing. Measuring 4.3 x 9.1 x 4.9 inches, the style is completed with a long chain shoulder strap. The Clutch with Chain is available in dark khaki crocodile embossed calfskin with gold-tone hardware. 

For an alternative exotic take, there’s the lizard-embossed Clutch with Chain. Defined by an east–west silhouette measuring 3.7 x 9.8 x 2 inches, the sleek style features a curved top handle and a long chain shoulder strap. Secured with a CC turn-lock, it comes in dark burgundy lizard-embossed calfskin.

Channeling serious vintage vibes, the Clutch with Strap pulls sfrom Chanel’s archival hardware language. Oversized gold-tone CC motifs anchor each side of the silhouette, giving the piece a bold, jewelry-like finish. Rendered in jet black velvet, the zip-top style measures 4.7 x 9.1 x 4.7 inches and is finished with a rope-style top handle and an oversized tassel. 

Blazy revisits a vintage-vibed frame silhouette, most recently seen in the Cruise 2026/27 show. Defined by its East–West proportions, the design measures 4.7 x 11 x 5.1 inches and features a structured frame secured with a CC-adorned kiss-lock closure. Slim leather shoulder straps extend well beyond the body of the bag, allowing it to be worn effortlessly over the shoulder. The style arrives in crocodile embossed calfskin in burgundy, red, and black.

A nod to New York, this apple-shaped minaudière adds a playful edge to the lineup. Rendered in red lacquered enamel, the design takes on a high-shine finish with gold-tone hardware throughout. Measuring 6.3 x 3.9 x 3.9 inches, it is finished with a long chain strap for shoulder styling.

For an alternative take on evening codes, Chanel introduces the Peanut Minaudière. Measuring 5.1 x 2.4 x 2.4 inches, it is rendered in beige enamel with gold-tone metal accents, with a lightly textured finish. 

The Acorn Minaudière looks like it’s fallen straight from an oak tree in Central Park — reworked, of course, with CC flair. Measuring 6.7 x 2.8 x 2.8 inches, it is crafted in smooth wood with a warm brown body and finished with a gold-tone cap scattered with shimmering strass accents.

From land to sea, the next Minaudière in the Métiers d’Art lineup takes the form of an oyster. Rendered in high-shine silver-tone metal, the textured design measures 5.3 x 6.9 inches and opens via a clasp closure finished with a contrasting gold-tone CC emblem and leather interwoven chain shoulder strap. 

Last but not least, a Minaudière shaped like an Art Deco elevator floor indicator. Defined by its distinctive half-moon silhouette (6.1 x 8.5 x 1.2 inches), the design features CHANEL lettering alongside a CC-adorned indicator.
