Los Angeles has had quite a few Hermès moments this year. Over the past four months, the city has hosted both the Hermès Fall/Winter 2026 Chapter 2 Runway Show and, now, the return of the highly anticipated Hermès Sale. For local Hermès enthusiasts, it has been an exciting year.
The private sale opened on October 13 and runs through October 17, 2026, offering invited guests the opportunity to shop a selection of Hermès merchandise at significant discounts. Most items are marked down by 50% off retail, with ready-to-wear reduced by 60%.
The Hermès Sale takes place one or more times a year in select cities around the world, but its arrival in Los Angeles is particularly noteworthy. New York City has hosted the event more than 10 times since 2010, including a sale on Long Island in 2018 and one in New Jersey in 2019. Last year, Las Vegas was the closest the sale had come to Los Angeles in a decade.
So, what was it like inside this year’s event? I visited the sale to get a firsthand look at the merchandise, organization, and overall shopping experience so you would know what to expect.

The Venue: Well Organized and Surprisingly Relaxed
This year’s sale was held in Glendale, a 30-minute drive from the Beverly Hills Hermès boutique when traffic is light. The venue was a large, warehouse-style space with valet parking and plenty of room for merchandise and shoppers.
What stood out immediately was how efficiently everything was managed. There were no long lines to enter, the merchandise was neatly organized by department, size, and color, and checkout was exceptionally smooth. With plenty of cashiers available, there was no waiting in line to pay.
Even with so much merchandise to explore, the space never felt overwhelmingly crowded or rushed. For an event that can attract plenty of eager shoppers, the relaxed atmosphere made a real difference.

Men's and Women's Ready-to-Wear
The shopping journey began with men’s ready-to-wear, where racks were arranged by size and color. The selection was impressive, with an assortment of T-shirts, long- and short-sleeved pullovers featuring leather details, jackets, and casual pieces. There were plenty of options to browse, although I did not see any leather jackets.
Nearby, a selection of hats included both baseball-cap styles and Stetson-style designs.
Women’s ready-to-wear came next, with merchandise similarly organized by size and color. There was plenty to explore, including peach-colored cashmere zip-up coats in multiple sizes, black turtleneck-style tops, pocket-detail T-shirts, white trousers, and more.
One particularly welcome detail was the availability of fitting rooms. The wait was minimal, generally no more than two minutes, making it easy to try on pieces before deciding what to take home.
With ready-to-wear discounted by 60%, this was certainly an area worth exploring, particularly for anyone hoping to find a piece from a past season.

Shoes: Always a Favorite Stop
The shoe section was one of the most popular areas of the sale, attracting both men and women.
The assortment included sneakers, Oran sandals, and a smaller selection of ankle and knee-high boots. As is often the case at a sale, availability varied by size, so finding a particular style depended on what remained.
Still, there were plenty of happy shoppers. I saw customers finding one or more pairs in their size, making the shoe section a worthwhile stop for anyone hoping to add a little Hermès footwear to their wardrobe at a discount.
Of course, flexibility is key. If you arrive looking for one specific style or color, there are no guarantees. But if you’re open to discovering something unexpected, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Orans – a favorite of most shoppers
Home Goods: A Few Unexpected Finds
The next section featured Hermès home goods, including blankets, pillows, towels, and pouches.
For anyone who enjoys the brand’s home collection, this was another area worth browsing. These pieces can make lovely additions to a home or thoughtful gifts, particularly when purchased at a discount.
There was, however, an important change to the shopping experience this year.
Once you left the home goods section and proceeded toward the jewelry and silk areas, you could not return to the ready-to-wear, shoes, or home goods sections. This was a new rule compared with last year’s sale in Las Vegas.
My advice? Take your time in each department and make sure you’ve finished browsing before moving on. You don’t want to remember a piece you left behind after you’ve already passed the point of no return!

Fashion Jewelry: Time to Take a Closer Look
The fashion jewelry section featured display cases with sales associates on hand to assist shoppers. The assortment offered a range of styles and sizes, with associates available to help customers explore the selection.
After leaving the jewelry section, shoppers again had to move forward without the option of returning to the previous department.
This made it especially important to be intentional about the shopping route. Rather than rushing through each area, take a moment to look carefully at what’s available before continuing.

Silks and Twillies: A Colorful Finale
The final stop was the silk department, where shoppers could browse twillies and scarves in a variety of sizes, designs, and fabrications.
For Hermès lovers, this is always a fun category to explore. The house is known for its distinctive prints and artistic designs, and the sale offers an opportunity to look for a favorite pattern or discover something you might have overlooked in a previous season.
As with the other departments, the selection available on the day will determine what you find, so keeping an open mind is part of the experience. Remember, areas are restocked throughout each day.

Checking Out
The Overall Experience: Worth the Visit?
Overall, my experience at the Los Angeles Hermès Sale was quite pleasant and better than expected. The merchandise was well organized, the venue was spacious, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, and the entire event felt thoughtfully managed.
The sales associates were willing to check the back for additional sizes or items when asked. There were also plenty of associates available at checkout, which meant no frustrating queues at the end of the shopping experience.
The one logistical detail to remember is the no-return policy between departments. Plan your route carefully, especially if you’re interested in ready-to-wear, shoes, or home goods, and don’t move on until you’ve finished browsing.
For those wondering, I did not leave empty handed as I intended. Having just returned from Paris Fashion Week I had no intention of shopping. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a pair of Etoupe leather long shorts in my size which were hard to pass on at 60% off. The Hermès leather is so soft, supple and timeless. I also bought a pink polo shirt for my husband and some beautiful hand towels for our guest room. An unexpected result.

Success!
Final Thoughts
For Los Angeles Hermès enthusiasts, having the private sale in our city is a welcome opportunity, particularly after last year’s event in Las Vegas. With discounts of 50% on most merchandise and 60% on ready-to-wear, there is plenty of reason to explore what is available.
If you received an invitation to the private Hermès Sale in Los Angeles, my recommendation is simple: go with an open mind, enjoy the experience, and shop for what you love. You may find a piece you’ve been searching for, rediscover a style you missed in a past season, or stumble upon something you never expected to bring home.
And isn’t that part of the fun?
Share your experience at this year’s Hermès sale and what you scored. We would love to hear all about your experience.
