First Look at the Chanel Fall/Winter 2021 Bags

Chanel went nightclubbing for its Fall/Winter Coco Neige collection.  No Grand Palais this season (the space is under construction), the favored locale of former head Karl Lagerfeld.  Rather, Artistic Director Virginie Viard took the show to the Club Castel on Paris’s Left Bank, for a smaller and intimate event that she hints is more her style.

Viard spoke about puffy arctic wear cloaking sexy skimpy numbers. In this vein, the bags were about nightlife. No large totes here. Instead, handbags leaned small, some very small.  Most were flap styles. And what do you take for night at the Club… sparkle, jewels  and fur. Party on.

And like other brands, handsfree turned to the neck… a cylindrical case worn as a necklace, but large enough for a lipstick. It appeared on repeat…  the interior still a secret.

Take a look below at some of the bags from the latest show.

Around the Neck

It’s certainly a statement necklace! What do you think fits inside?

Sparkle and Shine

These are bags for a glitzy night of champagne and dancing (we imagine).

Again, Little is Big

Round, rectangular and square… small bags came in all shapes.  One of our favorites is the structured two-tone flap.
