It’s called the Karlito Bug Bag keychain…
From Boy Bags to Bag Boys, Karl Lagerfeld has once again stopped the show! At this years Fendi Fall show in Milan, a mini version of the fashion mogul was sent down the runway as the opening look and had jaws dropping immediately. Dangling the mini fur Karl at her fingertips, it girl and super model, Cara Delevinge had fashionista’s dying for Karlito to grace the handles of their fall totes.
Fendi’s creative director of accessories, Sylvia Venturini Fendi originally designed the furry little guy as a gift for Karl Lagerfeld, who joined the fashion house in 1965 as the creative director of fur.
The miniature KL is reminiscent of Karl Lagerfelds iconic style with white hair, black shades, a high white collar and black tie. Karlito’s body is made up of silver fox fur, his sunglasses are black mink and a sprout of goat fur atop his head in your choice (if you’re lucky enough to have one) of pink, orange or blue.
With only three retailers carrying it in select locations, (Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Fendi Boutiques) and sky rocketing pre-orders, the $1750 key chain will surely be fall’s most coveted accessory.
