Mine is definitely a 30cm White Himalaya Birkin. I have requested one in store but as the store near me is very small, I have been told they do get them, but rarely. My HG has definitely evolved over time. It was initally a Birkin, then Birkins (plural), now a Himalaya Birkin. So let’s see how long the dream takes to come to fruition. I can wait!!

i admire women who can wear heels!
i grew up in southamerica and for some genetic accident we are all tall in my family, i was also a tomboy who rode horses and broke her ankles, last time was last year when i broke my left ankle crossing the road! that was it, a plate and six screws later my son’s gf and got some of my heels
because of my height, growing up it was trainers, ballet flats, birkensocks, army boots…never learnt to feel comfortable in heels unless they were plataforms
i used to work for an italian high end fashion house and spend the day surrounded by amazing, beautiful heels…sigh
so ladies, wear those heels proudly, i’ll be in the sidelines cheering you on

my HG was the bag that started all the madness: the chloe paddington, i was obssessed by it! my first one was a really good fake and that was how i discovered TPF. eventually i owned a 05 tan paddy (sold) and kept a brun and grenat paddys and i have a soft spot for older chloe bags: soft, creamy leather and that lovely leather smell…
then i moved to baleciaga, my HG was a magenta city which i got but that did not stop the madness! after it i needed a dior gaucho (got it) so i kept moving the goal post
yes, i would love a SO hermes birkin but i am realistic, short of winning lotto there is no way i’ll be getting one, sad but true! at least i know that is my HG of HG and will remain so with no chances for dissapointment which i think can be common once you get “the” bag as the ilusion becomes reality

I am CRAZY for all these stickers!!!! and that BAG!!!! I heard some people use double stick tape on the sticker to make them cause less damage. But I have not tried on any bags. This was my first post here . hi!

The shoulder strap is just unforgivable.

I love the effort Hermes makes towards quality, and they do have more eccentric things in their collections…however something about them for me is a little stale? they are due for a change in my opinion…but I don’t think chanel is rising above it either

Thank you so much for sharing your story and your beautiful beautiful pics! Your style and collection are always so much fun and extraordinary. You really bring things to life and make life look fun and fabulous! I just had one question, may I ask when you started your Hermes collection?

I love my mini Karlitos!!!! I missed out on the big one though :(

I just loved reading this my friend. I read it a while ago and came back to read it again today. I love your gorgeous photos!!

I don’t know if I could ever bring myself to the point of buying one, but there is something about the girl bag that I like. It would be a nice more dressed up casual bag for its size. I feel like Chanel never intended for it to be as popular as the boy since its more for a collector

the flower looks really nice! I’ll post one when I see flowers around! Love your chanel!

Hi PatiEv, that’s a really good question! I’m going to travel in June and I’m already thinking which bag to use! I, too, only like to bring one bag for vacation (so I have more space for new purcahses :P) I like bags that are big enough but not TOO big, bag with a shoulder strap so I can carry other things and one that has a zip for safety reasons! I need suggestions as well!

An overabundance of BLACK, wouldn’t you say⁉️
- Pursebop replied 11 years ago
love the colors of ur Bs!! I used to have 35 only because 30 seemed small but i got my 30 recently and i think that size is not too bad! but I’d have to choose 35! I can’t wait to get my hands on more 30 though! Love your collection by the way! should post more!

All the bags are so beautiful! Is it me or do the bags seem like they photograph larger looking than in real life. Maybe my perspective when I wear mine just look different? Of course I don’t know your size but they all seem one size bigger than when sitting and staring at them vs the pic. My favs are the 30 and 25. Color wise my fav is the 35, ultraviolet. Such an amazing color.

The price issue became apparent to me with PurseBops blog features of the prices of bags here in the USA vs. Europe. Here in the US a Birkin or Kelly are still considerably more expensive than a classic flap. In fact last I checked even a Jypsiere was $8,500. As for special edition pieces, Chanel has gone bonkers with pricing. The new brasserie clutches are nearly 20K. I think Hermes has opened up the doors to criticism because now a days it seems everyone that really wants a B can have one. It was not like that when I bought my first one 10 years ago. I miss the exclusivity of it all. Now you can only be exclusive with a Himalayan B :(

OH this is amazing, a twist on the original monogram version! You rock those mini trunks StyledGuy, a must have for you!Is that lizard trimming? Any idea on price?
- BirkinBabe replied 11 years ago
You have a beautiful collection of Birkins bibi2cuori, I love the picture of you sitting on the floor smiling with them spread all around you. A girls dream ?. All 3 sizes look lovely on you but if I must pick one then I saw the B30. What color are you looking to add to your marvelous collection?
- BirkinBabe replied 11 years ago
I just love this story swedishandstylish, haha the converse. I had those with the big star too. I dread the day I won’t be able to wear high heels, but for now I like to even push the stroller in my heels! I love your style girl. I call you an effortless beauty. You are a natural. Stay smiling and sharing. I love reading your posts here ;) (oh, and what I would do to be as tall as you ?) As for me, I think I was born with heels on!

Swedishandstylish, I was more like you except for the absence of height. Clogs were probably the highest heel I wore, and this was in the age of “candies” platforms. Somewhere along the line, after marrying a man over 6′, I found it was nice being closer to his height. Then as my boys headed over my head, my heels lifted higher and higher until I found myself driving carpools in 3″ heels. Now I love wedges and extra inches but try to keep it 3″ or under unless they’re to die for . . . And qualify as “sitting shoes.”

swedishandstylish you brought the most bright smile to my face reading this. It’s 6:30 am and I’m reading this on my iPhone in bed and giggling… and Mr. PurseBop wants to know “whats so funny?” I am reading it outloud to him and it’s impossible for me to imagine you anything but suave and graceful. The swedishandstylish we see today is a MODEL.
My story is a little different. I have always been a girls girl and could not grow up fast enough. My parents were very social growing up and my “aunties” (my mothers closest girlfriends) would come to our home with their fancy bags and high heels. My eyes would check out their glistening ‘pencil’ stilettos and when any of them would take their sandals off I would sneak away with them, strap them on my tiny feet and imagine the day I would grow up to be able to wear a pair just like them. This went on for years, secretly in our long hallway with a mirror at the far end. I am trying to remember my first pair and I truly can’t swedishandstylish, but I will call mommy later today to see if she remembers ? ? Thank you for sharing your story ❤️ I’ll be back to share what Mom tells me…XO

the painted bag is absurd, but i have to admit i kind of like it… i think there’s a lot to be said about a new multicultural generation entering the closed off world of high fashion. “defaming” the bag makes just that point doesn’t it?

if anyone wants to watch the full show here’s the link: http://nymag.com/thecut/2015/05/watch-the-louis-vuitton-cruise-show-live.html
it was at Bob Hope’s house, how crazy is that?!
- hotsauce replied 11 years ago
haha I had to do a quick metric conversion there. I like the middle one, I’m partial to the goldilocks philosophy. not too big, not too small, the B30 celeste is just right :)
- hotsauce replied 11 years ago
my first Birkin was a 35! but i prefer now B30 ????
- bibi2cuori replied 11 years ago
Regardless the prices they are totally different bags, I love both and they are both needed in any collection, I don’t like Chanel quality lately.
- Mademoiselle Lily replied 11 years ago
The first time i saw it, i said NO ? but now i see the orange tote i think i just fell in love ?? o should never check this post now i have to buy it ??? BUT I would never use it in my daily life, i will keep this beauty for beach ?
- Lifeandstyletips replied 11 years ago
Hi girls ?? i have not got a Hermes yet (it is my dream to be come true ? i hope??) ✨ i will definitely prefer B30
- Lifeandstyletips replied 11 years ago
It may be my bias, but I feel like Chanel does have a fresher, younger appeal and is more accessible. Hermes is not striving for those things, which is not better or worse. They try to remain loyal to their sophisticated vibe, and so I feel like a more hyped up reputation or position won’t matter to them.
- chloet18 replied 11 years ago
I don’t have a Birkin, but I would absolutely love to have a B30.It has become one of my dream bags.
- Michele Denson replied 11 years ago
This is a fun concept. The bag seems a little too delicate for me however. I would have to be extra careful not to come in contact with anything sharp. It looks like it might make a great travel pillow.
