Dear PurseBop,
I am going to Europe (Paris, Monte Carlo, Florence and Rome) next month and would love to purchase a Birkin or Kelly. I know the Paris stores use a lottery for appointments, but is there any harm in walking into the stores in the other cities and simply telling the SA that I am looking to purchase a Birkin or Kelly and am willing to purchase other items, as well? I do not have a boutique in my city and therefore no SA relationship, and I don’t want to beat around the bush since I don’t have time to slowly develop a relationship with an SA in Europe given that I’m only in each city for a few days. Will I be laughed out of the store, or is it worth a shot to be direct?
