Hi Everyone!
In August, I bought my first Birkin at the Hermès Faubourg Saint-Honoré boutique in Paris, a 25 CM in Cobalt Togo with Palladium. I own a few other Hermès items as well, including a Lindy 26 in Midnight Blue, which I bought in April at the Hermès boutique in Greenwich, a silk blouse, a couple of belts, a few enamel and leather bracelets, and many silk scarves and twillies.
This weekend, I bought my first CDC (Black Box with Gold) at the Madison Avenue boutique. My sales associate was lovely; I was carrying my Birkin, which probably helped! I then asked her to look at an Egée clutch, but the only color available was Blue Hydra, and I was only interested in Black, which had just been sold a few hours before! She said she would let me know if they received an Egée clutch in Black again.
Along with the Egée, I am definitely interested in purchasing a second Birkin, preferably a 30 CM, or possibly a Kelly. I was just wondering if I should continue to cultivate a relationship with this sales associate who helped me with my CDC and the Egée, or if it is better to work with a sales associate from leather goods specifically. If so, can anybody recommend a leather goods sales associate in New York who may be able to help me? Any other advice as to how to score a Birkin 30 in New York would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks so much!
