What’s hot, what’s not? That’s the theme of the Lyst quarterly rankings, and just as important as what is on the list is what is missing. And when it comes to the hottest products, not a single handbag made the top 10. It’s rather astonishing, as recent Lyst lists typically include at least one bag. Does this mean interest and demand for our favorite accessory is waning? Maybe, maybe not. After all, Lyst rarely includes items from top luxe purveyors Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, all of which are known for their popular sacs.
According to Lyst, it compiles data from shoppers’ online and offline behavior, searches, product views, and sales. It also considers social media engagement, mentions, and activity to track “heat.”

Let’s face it, we probably all need shoes more than we need bags. Whether drug store flip-flops would suffice, well, that’s up to you.
Brand-wise, Miu Miu retrieved top billing over Loewe, followed by Saint Laurent, Prada, Coach, and The Row.
