The Louis Vuitton price increase is officially live!
After Asia, Australia and Europe, new prices are now visible on the US website as well.

Here are just a few of the most popular styles that have been affected.

Neverfull MM: Price before increase- $1,690 USD ; Price after increase- $2,030 USD (21% increase- one of the largest jumps)

Pochette Métis: Price before increase- $2,360 USD ; Price after increase- $2,570 USD (9% increase)

Alma BB: Price before increase- $1,620 USD ; Price after increase- $1,760 USD (9% increase)

Félicie Pochette; Price before increase- $1,240 USD ; Price after increase- $1,490 USD (20% increase)

Palm Springs Mini: Price before increase- $2,300 USD ; Price after increase- $2,440 USD (6% increase)

Speedy 30: Price before increase- $1,370 USD ; Price after increase- $1,550 USD (14% increase)

Multi-pochette Accessoires: Price Before increase- $2,360 USD ; Price after increase- $2,570 USD (9% increase)

You’ll recall at the beginning of the year, we broke the news of several luxury price increases affecting some of our favorite brands from Dior to Rolex, Chanel and Tiffany’s. Since then, however, news of higher price tags has been relatively subdued- that is until Louis Vuitton decided to join the party.

Yes, that’s right, a Louis Vuitton price increase is just around the corner- February 16th to be exact. Though locations and styles affected have not yet been fully confirmed, it is being said that canvas pieces, SLGs, jewelry and perfumes are to be on the receiving end. Sources are also speculating the extent of the increase to be between approximately 4% on the lower end and 15-18% on average on the higher end.

Though things are up in the air right now, we will all know for certain on February 16th. In advance of this date, though, will you be adding to your cart those items you’ve had your eye on? Last year, there were 3 price increases brought on by the brand- in January, March and, most recently, October which affected a plethora of canvas and leather.pieces. Will this be the first of many this year?

A recent Reuters piece has confirmed that this price increase will be worldwide, affecting products in the leather goods, fashion jewelery and perfume groups. A spokesperson for Louis Vuitton told Reuters that the increase comes as a result of continuously rising costs (manufacturing, transportation, raw materials, etc) and that the extent of the rise in prices would be specific to each item and style.
