Does the New 5 year Chanel Warranty Follow the Bag If I Buy it From a Reseller?

Hi – I want to buy a 21K coco handle from a reseller – it has the plate and no authenticity card. When Chanel started with the plate I thought I heard they can see when it was bought and you would still be covered under the 5 year warranty even though it will not show on your purchase history that you bought it? Or would I be out of luck concerning the warranty?

It is my understanding that the Chanel warranty follows the bag. This means that a Chanel bag you purchase from another source that is within the 5-year warranty period would still be covered under the original Chanel warranty provided the issue that needs repair is covered under the warranty.
