How hard is it to get offered an Evelyne or Garden Party tote while visiting Italy?

Traveling to Europe and visiting Hermès boutiques in those cities is always an exciting experience. Their stock and inventory is often different from our home stores. Often you can find items you wanted but were unable to get in your local boutique.

Most boutiques will offer non-quota bags to tourists that are available in stock. It may or may not require making an appointment in advance, meeting a Sales Associate and making a connection, and simply asking if it is possible to purchase the Evelyne or Garden Party tote you are seeking. Sometimes they may request you return the next day if they do not have any available that day but hope for a delivery the next day.

It is best to shop early in the day, preferably in the morning hours soon after opening for the best options.

With the busy summer travel season in full swing each day is an unknown adventure. It is always a good idea to be respectful, polite, and courteous and ask for what you would like. You may be pleasantly surprised.
