How Often is the Hermès Special Order Offered in Each Store?

Is the Hermes SO given every year? Could you explain how often you could get it. Thank you

Dear Special Order Hopeful:

In order to place a Special Order (SO) you must be invited by your SA in your home boutique or in Paris. In the U.S. the SO is generally offered twice a year. Although the exact timing can vary at each location, an SO is uaually offered between March and May and again between September and November.

How often you may be offered the opportunity to create a SO also varies greatly by boutique location, size of store, number of SA’s, number of clients, and other factors. Locations that are smaller and have less competition may allow their clients more opportunities to create SO’s. However, in most locations, there are so many clients that being offered the opportunity even once is an honor.

It is ok to let your SA know that you would be interested in placing a special order but be patient. It is unknown how long it will take for the opportunity to be offered.
