Is Hermès discontinuing the Birkin Sellier model?
Dear Concerned About the Sellier Birkin:
The Birkin Sellier model was first introduced in 2019 with the production of the Birkin 20 Faubourg bags. Thereafter, Hermès began producing Birkin Selliers in size 25, 30, and 35 beginning in 2020.
To our knowledge, at the present time Hermès has not discontinued the production of Birkin Selliers in all the sizes. However, they did remove the Birkin Sellier in size 25 and 30 as an option for a Special Order bag. We are unaware of the reason they removed the Birkin Sellier as an option but hope it returns in the future.
Birkin 25 Sellier appear to still be in production in 2025 despite being taken off the Special Order list. If this changes, we will advise our community members.

Hermès does not generally announce bag discontinuations in the same way that many fashion Among Us brands do. As a result, changes in production are often identified through boutique availability, Special Order offerings, and collector reports.

Thank you for this update — I’d been anxious since the rumors started, so it’s a relief to hear the 25 is still in production even if it’s off the SO list. This news actually pushed me to finally photograph my Sellier collection properly this weekend. The glare off the gold hardware kept hiding the stitching in my shots, so I ended up removing the glare from my photos before posting them — you can finally see the edge painting clearly. So grateful this community keeps us informed!
