At the same time, Chanel’s current Blazy era Classic flaps have become incredibly popular. Should I be buying vintage, or is now the time to embrace the new Blazy Classic flaps?

The dramatic price increases over the past 3-4 years has priced many collectors out and has reduced the potential resale value of some models. If you love heritage, 24K gold-plated hardware, softer vintage leathers, and the romance of finding an exceptional bag from another era, go vintage. Just be extremely selective about the condition.

If you want something fresh, fashion forward, and unmistakably current, don’t dismiss the Blazy era bags simply because they aren’t vintage. In fact, some of these new pieces may ultimately become the vintage Chanel collectors are hunting for 20 years from now.
