“Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue…”

PurseBop is feeling a little sentimental today…

Not long ago, she began her picture book of treasures and favorites. “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue …” was supposed to be the first page of the story, the very first post. But in the frenzy and excitement of entering the blogosphere, the piece was never properly published.

PurseBop republishes it today to share! I sincerely want to thank my readers for their encouragement, comments and continued support.
PurseBop is truly a labor of love and I’m privileged to share my whimsical passions with so many of you!

I’m feeling a little nostalgic, looking back and realizing the steep learning curve I’ve already climbed. After hours at the Apple Genius Bar, mastering my new laptop and endless time configuring Aperture, Blogger, Twitter, Pinterest…and then how to integrate them all… I’m so energized, excited and motivated to make PurseBop the most wonderful little space on the Internet! PurseBop was just a vague vision, something I wanted to do, and thought about for many, many months.

NOW there are over 40 stories in my picture book!!!
I welcome you to now follow PurseBop on TwitterPinterest, Facebook and  Instagram, where I can share a little more of myself, my activities, my thoughts, my eats, and my finds.
PurseBop promises to grow leaps and bounds— the sky is the limit!
Keep ‘bopping’ along with Me!!!

The “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue” post was written just after a beautiful weekend reunion in DC with my sisters.  I shared my desire and vision to create a place of my own called ‘PurseBop’. With their encouragement I took the plunge, sooner rather than later…

The centerpiece of my first post became the Chanel bag that accompanied me to DC and then inspired a series of purchases, all from the magnificent Cruise 2013 Chanel collection.  My ‘blue beauty’ purchased from Hirshleifers created a pursepidemic of Chanel proportions.

I nearly did cartwheels in sheer delight (wish I was still that flexible) when I saw these YSL tribute sandals at the Neiman Marcus Mazza Gallerie in Friendship Heights, Washington DC.

It was a sisters reunion weekend filled with tummy straining laughter, too many eats, lots of sharing, caring and love…and a little shopping of course!

My cruise patent metallic blue jumbo was so contagious that both my sisters were inspired to come home with these Chanel wallets on chains (timeless classic WOC) and for moi, the Blue Roy tribute stilettos….

This is the gorgeous view from my sis’s apartment in DuPont Circle. If you look closely you can actually see the Washington Monument from her front window.

The evening dusk casts a magical glow that carries me to a page in a fairy tale book……‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.’

Fraggle Rock sporting the new WOC in 13C metallic blue patent… (this was only the beginning of Fraggle’s makeover, he was modeling Victoria Secret intimates by the end of our photo shoot, hehe).

On the hunt for Sprinkles on M street to satisfy the red velvet cupcake cravings all 3 of us were conveniently having…..after all, “happiness is cream cheese frosting with my sisters!”
