Dior’s new Promenade Shopping Bag practically begs to be taken for a stroll. Designed by Jonathan Anderson for Autumn-Winter 2026/27, the aptly named newcomer brings a fresh take to the everyday tote, perfectly suited to the collection’s leisurely spirit.

Far softer and more streamlined than Dior’s iconic Book Tote, the Promenade Shopping Bag brings a more feminine sensibility to the House’s everyday tote. Crafted in soft leather, its clean silhouette is accented by slender leather straps and a signature bow detail at the front. The handles slide through CD-embossed eyelets, allowing the drop to be adjusted for different ways of carrying — much like Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo. Keep the handles doubled up for hand carry or a shorter shoulder drop, or extend them for a longer shoulder style or crossbody wear.

Available in three sizes ranging from Mini through Medium, the Promenade shifts effortlessly from a petite handbag to a more substantial everyday tote, with each size secured by a magnetic closure. Designed to move from day to night, the Mini fits the essentials, including a wallet, phone, sunglasses and lipstick. The Small strikes a middle ground for everyday carry, while the Medium is the more work- and travel-friendly option, with room for a 15-inch laptop, small tablet and other daily necessities.

Inside, the Promenade Shopping Bag keeps things simple with a pared-back interior. The Mini features a flat pocket, keeping smaller essentials within easy reach, while the larger sizes add a zipped interior pocket alongside a slip pocket for a little more organization.

The Promenade Shopping Bag takes two distinct directions across its finishes. Cannage leather and suede bring texture to the design, while Dior Oblique jacquard canvas puts the House’s signature motif front and center. The Cannage leather comes in classic Black, Ballet Pink and “Glove,” a deep beige; the suede iteration in Khaki, Gris Pietro and “Marron Bobby”, a rich tan. The Oblique jacquard takes a more statement approach, available in classic Navy with matching leather trim or a new multicolor pastel variation finished with Ballet Pink leather.

Prices for the Dior Promenade Shopping Bag start at $2,700 for the Mini in Dior Oblique jacquard, while the larger styles range up to $4,500 depending on size and fabrication.

With its slimmed-down proportions and feminine bow detail, the Promenade Shopping Bag feels like a more delicate cousin to Dior’s Book Tote. Love it or leave it?
