Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week has officially begun, and with it comes Jonathan Anderson’s second Haute Couture presentation for Dior. For the Fall-Winter 2026–2027 Haute Couture collection, the designer draws inspiration from two contrasting landscapes — one abundant, the other arid — setting the stage for an exploration of opposites through the lens of couture craftsmanship.

The collection arrives just days after it was revealed that Anderson designed the bespoke looks worn by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their wedding celebrations. Fittingly, the runway itself concluded with a bridal look.

The collection responds to the work of American sculptor Lynda Benglis, whose practice transforms flat materials into sculptural forms through knotting, pleating, and moulding. That dialogue between art and couture plays out across the runway, where hand-plissé techniques, draping, and intricate pleating reign supreme. Dior’s iconic Bar Jacket is reimagined through sculptural pleats, while softly draped dresses echo the fluid forms found throughout Benglis’ work.
Elsewhere, Dior’s emblematic bow appears as a recurring motif, punctuating necklines, waistlines, and bags. Once again, Anderson gives handbags a prominent role within the couture accessory lineup, introducing his Cigale bag alongside the Petit Dîner and miniature Lady Dior bags.

Dior Cigale Bag
Anderson’s Cigale Bag returned in miniature form for Couture. Rendered in glossy forest green crocodile skin, the design retained the silhouette’s distinctive folded construction and bow, reworked in a more compact format. Carried by its signature top handle, the design featured a fully contrasting green glass-beaded version complete with a tassel.

Elsewhere, the Cigale embraced the collection’s plissé textures, reimagined in high-shine metallic finishes including luminous bronze and gunmetal.

Lady Dior Bag
Miniature proportions remained a recurring theme throughout the collection, extending to the iconic Lady Dior. Also crafted in a high shine green crocodile skin, finished with a contrasting white feathered flower.

Dior Petit Dîner Bag
With its smooth hard-shell construction and gently rounded corners, the Dior Petit Dîner Bag echoes the sculptural quality of the Fall-Winter 2026–2027 Haute Couture collection. This season, the curved clutch is adorned with delicate hand-painted botanical motifs, referencing Indian Chintz in earthy neutral tones, with the reverse rendered in crocodile skin for an exotic touch. Completing the design, the bag’s signature leather bow clasp is replaced with a gleaming gold-tone iteration that lends a more jewelry-like finish. Elsewhere, textured and embellished versions offer a more dimensional interpretation of the silhouette.

Plissé Bow Bag
The collection’s plissé textures extended beyond the garments and into the accessories. Soft bags crafted from finely pleated fabric featured an oversized bow that doubled as a handle, allowing the styles to be clutched in hand. The same silhouette also appeared in larger formats rendered in crinkled metallic finishes.

Dior Woven Bag
A basket bag appeared on the runway, reimagined through the lens of Haute Couture. Woven from contrasting metallic fabrics, the open-top design elevated the traditionally casual silhouette with a richly textured finish. Fabric-interwoven chain straps, anchored by Dior’s signature ‘D’ hardware, allowed the bag to be carried by hand, while a cascading fringe trim added movement and a final couture flourish.

Cactus Minaudières
Drawing on the collection’s exploration of contrasting landscapes, Jonathan Anderson introduces a series of cactus-shaped minaudières. Rendered in vibrant hues and rich textural finishes, the sculptural designs depict cacti in bloom, complete with delicate floral accents. Suspended from fine silver-tone chain straps, these whimsical creations blur the line between handbag and objet d’art.

Armadillo Minaudière
Last Couture season brought us the ermine-inspired minaudière; this time, Jonathan Anderson turns his attention to the armadillo. Rendered in silver-tone metalwork, the design recreates the creature’s distinctive armour-like shell through a richly textured finish. A chainmail tail extended from the rear, while a long silver-tone chain completed the design.
