This Nantucket basket tote is my go-to Summer favorite – I can fit everything+ in it:
Hermes Bebop and Bebop Mini (for make up, medicine, etc.)
LV Emilie wallet (for $ to buy more SLG’s ;o)
LV mini Papillion (perfect to store phone charger, ear buds, etc.)
And a Kindle, phone, tissues, ‘strawberry’ shopping tote, and mints round off the supplies to carry me through my day.

I am currently in Europe, and I just bought two bags. One of them is a Le Boy in new medium size, which costed me €4,150 minus 13% of VAT refund = €539. The total I paid for the bag at the end was €3,610, which is approximately $4,000.
The same bag in USA costs $5,200 + 8% taxes (in California) total of 5,500.
I still saved $1,500 at the end, after the price increase in Europe. And YES, totally worth it!

They’re cute but definitely not practical. The pink is very pretty and feminine. I like small bags but these seem really small. Don’t think I’ll be buying one.

Ah so amazing I am not the only one who does this too….. Such a great thread, StyledGuy! I also write down the list and have prices just to keep things in perspective and fresh on my mind, lol. Let’s see, when I was a little younger and first starting out a master “list” it had a few things I’ve been able to cross off already like a nice Burberry trench, a nice black Gucci wool scarf, a Ricky bag, a Kelly bag, etc. Currently my list includes –

–a Bamboo Kelly (non Togo)
–a Saint Laurent moto jacket (not lamb, but not the super stiff buffalo either, not overly studded)
–the Saint Laurent Tribute 75 sandals in nude
–a petit Malle (totally and completely your fault!!!! ? but need to get hubs on board bc he’s not in love, lol)
–camel overcoat (RL, Gucci, Saint Laurent, whichever speaks to me and fits amazing)
–Louboutin nude closed toe pumps
–those damn Adidas x Pharrell Williams Jacquard Stan Smiths in blue (finding them is murder)

There’s also some other random things I run across but in general I don’t really shop at home much -usually just on vacation! I’ve meticulously built my wardrobe the last ten years and even better the last five or so, and I really don’t have a lot of turnover. I add very few pieces a year that are nicer or every few years I have to ditch the pjs and shirts and start over, lol.

I did buy some vintage stuff such as a Chanel Tote from the 1990’s and some accessories but honestly I would only do it in person in a store that has a great reputation. The reason why I bought those items was not because I was looking for them but because I spotted them and absolutely LOVED them. The bag for instance isn’t showy at all, and the other things are just of such high quality that you cannot go wrong. However, I would never go into a random second hand /vintage store and buy something, especially online! There are too many scams out there that will rip you off :( In the states I like to buy from Luxury &Co, and once I bought something from the Real Real. In Europe you can find some beautiful boutiques that sell high end previously owned items with great reputation.

Hello everyone :)

In the US I love to shop in Boston and NYC. In Europe my favorites are London, Paris, Munich, Zurich, Milan and DEFINITELY Porto Cervo :)

The reason why I became a bag lover was my sister :) She is a little bit older than me and always liked to dress up beautifully since we were young. So naturally she started to have a beautiful collection of bags (at a very young age) up until now :) Back then I was more of a Tomboy and she was the one that got me to change when I hit 16/17. I would and still am always admiring her beautiful bags, shoes etc… Of course my mother influenced us both but my sister just brought the love of bags to another level :)
Much love

This is one stunning image. I have yet to buy an Hermes crossbody but I think your post just brought me one step closer.
Your bi-color J is just amazing. :)

Hi! Yes, I’ve sold a few of my bags. I value quality over quantity and decided to have less but better bags.
I don’t have an unlimited bag fund so this also helps me put money towards new purchases.
Have not suffered from purse regret so far but I only really sell what I know I don’t want anymore or no longer suits my lifestyle.
It is also a great way to get more closet space! :)

My B and Givenchy Bambi tote are great for bag nesting. Whenever I travel one or the other will carry my “dinner/going out bags”. I never ever put bags in my hold luggage. I’m terrified they’ll disappear.
Daily though I don’t really “bag-nest” much…

Does the world wide web count as destination? ;)
Now seriously, Paris ranks number one for me. Variety, experience, overall glamour being the main reasons.
When the GBP/Euro ratio is a little more favorable for us purchasing in euros London is a close second.
Madrid, for the excellent customer service.

I love this post. :)
I don’t really have a wish list… I would need a whole notebook, so not practical. Ahahaha
Unless I’m looking for a timeless/investment piece like a classic Chanel or a Kelly or Birkin (and increasingly less so), I usually tend to impulse buy things that are “less ordinary”, hence my love for up and coming brands.
But if I had to choose one piece to put on my wish list it would be a Petite Malle and you are the one to blame.

You really have some exceptional pieces! This is yet another one. Congrats! It’s stunning!

Hi Francine! Your style is so unique! I just love it. I am trying to stop wearing so much black and you provide great inspo. So thanks for that.
My first proper designer bag was a large Mulberry Roxanne that I still own but do not use. For some reason I never found the courage to sell it…
My general fashion addiction probably started because growing up I always had to wear school uniforms and I hated it!
I cannot really pinpoint an exact time when I became addicted to bags… I guess at some point I started needing to carry things around and started to wear them and later understood that the right bag was a great accessory and could totally transform an outfit…
The important thing is that I love them and my most recent purchase will make you proud colorwise. :)
Thank you for sharing!

I loved reading your article. Thank you. And LV could not have picked a better ambassador. For years now I’ve been somewhat disappointed with the brand… Seeing the increase in prices not matched by innovation and quality has been a let down and the result – for me – was that I stopped buying.
Your piece just made me want to walk into to an LV boutique and take bags out of shelves, touch them, feel them, try them on. I think you brought some of the magic back to me! Beautiful read and cannot wait to come to one of your events!!

Ever since I was little I was always carrying a handbag! The designer “addiction” started when I received my very first Delvaux from my dad for my 21st birthday. It hasn’t stopped since then :-D
