It seems Carrie Bradshaw (of Sex & The City) was right: It’s not just a bag it’s a baguette. Although she was referring to the fabled Fendi baguette handbag, there’s now competition for that title. And this one literally holds a baguette.

Panera Bread Company issues a limited edition baguette bread shaped and sized green handbag. With embossed ‘P’s on the “Panera green” polyurethane fabric, a double P closure, and a short removable strap for tight shoulder or hand carry, Panera named it the BAGuette. It retails for $39.
Panera touts “the BAGuette [a]s the perfect size to carry one of our new Toasted Baguette sandwiches.”
It measures 14” long x 4” tall and 2.4” deep.
Alas, this sandwich sac sold out on preorder. Bags are expected in March 2023.
But tell us, is it for ham and brie? Or would you dare to put in tuna fish salad? Cute and kitschy, it certainly is better than a plain paper bag. And it’s unlikely anyone would confuse it with Fendi’s classic bag of that very similar name.
