When Matthieu Blazy unveiled his debut collection for Chanel for Spring-Summer 2026, the Maxi Flap Bag, also known as the Souplissimo, quickly emerged as one of the clearest expressions of his pared-back approach to the Maison’s codes. Now, the coveted lineup has quietly seen a price increase across both the US and Europe.

Blazy’s Maxi Flap marked a departure from the traditional Chanel formula. Rendered in grained calfskin, the bags forgo the Maison’s signature quilting and classic chain strap for a clean, unembellished silhouette with slim, adjustable leather straps threaded through four eyelets. Yet, beneath the pared-back exterior, the design retains the signature double-flap construction and Mona Lisa Smile pocket of the Classic 11.12 Handbag.

Chanel 2026 US Price Increase
The Maxi Flap debuted in two sizes, both referred to as Maxi, with the latest adjustment bringing a $300 increase across the range. Even the most recently launched Mini Flap Bag from the 26B collection hasn’t escaped the price hike: introduced at $5,900, it now sits at $6,200.

Beyond Blazy’s designs, the popular Chanel 25 has also received a price increase across all four sizes in its classic grained calfskin construction. While the Mini and Small each rose by $300, the Medium and Large saw the biggest increases, up $800 and $600 respectively.
