Can I ask a friend to share with me her SA? And will this help me get my dream bag without spending a fortune on non leathers goodies?
Dear Friend’s SA:
You may ask your friend if she minds if you shop with her SA. A referral to your SA is always a good idea. However, if you both are hoping to get offered the same type of bag in the same color, it may delay the offer. Generally, Hermès boutiques do not receive multiple bags in the same color, size, hardware, etc. all at once. If your wishlists are quite different from each other it should not be a problem to work with the same SA as your friend if she does not mind.
In addition, if you are both hoping to get a certain unicorn bag or coveted size (such as the Mini Kelly) or popular color, which are even more difficult to get, it may cause some competition amongst you. It is best to discuss it first with your friend, and then with the SA to know which avenue to pursue. Nevertheless, using your friend’s SA will not affect how much you must spend before being offered a quota bag.
