Do the items purchased in the Hermès boutique located in international airport terminals appear on your spend profile for the country you are in?
Dear Traveler:
It is our understanding that the purchases you make in an Hermès boutique located in an international airport terminal in your country or abroad do not appear on your profile history for that country. Your purchases in the airport not only have no tax or vat added on, but also may not be seen by any of the boutiques you may shop with.
It is also our understanding that Hermès boutiques located in airports generally do not sell quota bags such as Birkins and Kellys. However, they do have other leather bags and it is possible to be offered a non-quota bag such as Constance, Evelyne, Lindy, Picotin, Garden Party, etc. We’ve heard of an occasional pochette or Kelly Cut but it’s definately a rare occurrence.
