Goyard’s newest Paris location is now open!
Maison Goyard Paris 66 is located at 66, Rue François 1er, 75008 Paris. Operating hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm. The boutique is closed on Sunday.
Is this the worst kept secret in Paris? And maybe also the happiest surprise. We’ve been hearing rumors for months, but finally there’s evidence.
A new Goyard boutique is coming. Where? Right near another Uber popular French brand with limited locations. That is, perhaps unsurprisingly. across the street from Hermès’ George V boutique. If the signage is accurate, and construction stays on a timely track, expect it to open sometime this summer.
Establishing another location in the city certainly will make Goyard fans happy. With routine multi-hour lines in front of the the Rue Saint-Honoré boutique. Likely its neighboring shopkeepers also will be pleased to no longer have their windows and entrances blocked by waiting Goyard fans.
We’ve written many times about the trials and tribulations of trying to purchase Goyard products in Paris. If you go to Rue Saint Honoré, do you know which store to try? The big (it’s all relative) one or the smaller shop across the street. No one wants to wait in the wrong line for the wrong store. Are you willing to stand for hours just to get inside. And perhaps be told there’s a quota or limit on the number of purchases.
Or should you head to the small boutique secreted inside the Printemps department store on Haussmann Boulevard. It’s not exactly convenient if you’re trying to get to Hermès, Chanel, and the other luxury brands. However, it is open one hour later in the evening and shoppers seem to experience shorter lines, if not also a more limited selection.
