Just as we’ve settled into summer staples, Chanel gives us a reason to look ahead—way ahead. The brand’s Pre-Fall/Winter 2025/26 (25B) collection has arrived, and with it, a fresh wave of covetable handbags that strike the balance between timeless and trend-led.

This year’s 25B lineup brings back some familiar favorites and fresh new spins. The coveted Heart Bag from Spring/Summer 2022 makes a return, joined by classically coded flap bags and a new wave of Chanel 25 colorways and styles.

Classic Handbags

Chanel’s new variations on its classic handbags arrive dressed for fall in rich textures and deep-toned hues. The iconic 11.12 gets a cold-weather update in a cozy wool tweed, woven in a blend of black, light pink, and white, finished with gold-tone hardware. Meanwhile, the small size makes a statement in the coveted So Black version, and a warm camel shade reminiscent of the sought-after 21P caramel.

While the classic options may seem a little more limited this season, there’s no shortage of seasonal flap bags to expand your collection. From signature silhouettes reimagined in new quilted finishes to statement pieces dripping in sequins and texture, 25B serves up variety with flair.

One standout is the Flap Bag with Top Handle, crafted from wool tweed in a blend of pink, black, and white, complete with black calfskin trim and handle. Slightly larger than the Mini Classic Handbag (measuring 6.5 x 9.8 x 3.3 inches), it features a detachable charm adorned with one of Coco Chanel’s beloved symbols: the four-leaf clover. Finished with a classic turnlock closure, this flap is easily carried by hand or worn on the shoulder.

For those looking to add sparkle to their collection, the Flap Bag also comes in statement-making sequins. Opt for a softer shimmer in white with gold-tone hardware, or go bold with a silver-to-black gradient version finished with edgy Ruthenium hardware.

A larger version of this bag, with the same silhouette and shimmering style, is included in the “Evening Bag” category and measures a roomy 5.5 x 9.8 x 3.5 inches. Another standout this season is a flap bag that leans into classic Chanel styling, with a twist. Similar in size to the Small Classic Handbag (5.5 x 9.3 x 2.4 inches), it is crafted from shiny lambskin and features all the signature details – diamond quilting, the Mona Lisa back pocket, and a CC turnlock closure. Subtle topstitching around the flap adds structure, while the single-flap design keeps things streamlined. What sets it apart is the hardware – a long shoulder-length chain strap paired with a chunky, interwoven leather top handle. The Mini Flap Bag mirrors the design of its larger counterpart, featuring the same quilted finish, CC turnlock closure, and interwoven leather top handle – just in a scaled-down 4.7 x 7.9 x 2.6-inch size. Another fresh mini design joins the lineup this season, reminiscent of the popular Pearl Crush Mini Flap Bags. The square iteration keeps the classic proportions and structure of the Mini Classic Handbag, measuring 5.1 x 7.1 x 2.8 inches, and is crafted from shiny lambskin. Instead of the signature Coco Crush adjuster, the strap includes a sleek CC emblem with the same functionality. A rectangular version in the same style, measuring 5.1 x 7.9 x 2.8 inches, is available in black, light gray, and light blue.

Like jewelry for your bag, this Mini Flap Bag in shiny lambskin (measuring 5.7 x 7.7 x 2.6 inches) updates the classic silhouette with layered strap details. Alongside the traditional chain shoulder strap, delicate additional chains accented with faux pearls drape elegantly, doubling as a hand-carry option. Available in soft light gray and ecru lambskin, as well as a wool tweed version in lilac and multicolor, this design adds a subtle, decorative touch.

The Heart Bag Returns

Back by popular demand, Chanel’s beloved Heart Bag from Spring/Summer 2022 returns for 25B – and it stays true to everything fans loved the first time around.

The larger size version (7.1 x 7.5 x 2 inches) retains all the signature details from its predecessor: the all-over quilted finish, front pocket with CC turnlock, and the two-way zipper. Choose from light pink, metallic silver, black, and white.

Prefer something smaller? The Heart Clutch with Chain is also back, offered in white, black, light pink, and silver lambskin and measuring 4.7 x 5.1 x 2.2 inches. And building on the success of the Mini Classic Flap handbag charm introduced in the 25A lineup, Chanel expands the micro offering with a new Mini Heart Bag. Measuring just 3 x 3.3 x 2 inches, it’s available in white and light grey lambskin, bringing even more charm (literally) to the lineup.

Chanel 25

While the Métiers d’Art lineup brought us dazzling metallics, for 25B, Chanel is leaning into cooler tones and textures. The Chanel 25 returns this season in a fresh mix of materials and colorways across all sizes.

The large (16.5 × 14.2 × 5.9 inches) now comes in grained calfskin in two rich shades – burgundy and dark blue. The medium (15.7 × 11.8 × 5.9 inches) gets a playful update with a Barbie-coded light pink in grained calfskin, alongside a sleek black version in shiny crumpled calfskin with two-tone hardware. There is also a more casual take on the medium in a dark blue canvas for a slightly unexpected twist.

As for the small (11.8 × 10.2 × 5.5 inches), it is offered in soft tones of light blue and lilac, both in grained calfskin.

New: The Chanel 25 Backpack

The Chanel 25 line expands this season with a new backpack silhouette, offered in two sizes for even more styling flexibility. Crafted in black grained calfskin with gold-tone hardware, the backpack keeps the slouchy bucket bag-inspired shape and signature quilted finish.

It secures with a drawstring closure and features functional side pockets, along with a leather top handle and chunky chain shoulder straps reminiscent of the vintage Duma Backpack. The medium size measures 9.1 × 9.1 × 5.5 inches, while the large offers a roomier option at 12.2 × 11.8 × 6.7 inches.

Backpacks

Beyond the new Chanel 25 Backpack, there are other, more practical styles getting a seasonal update.

Not too dissimilar to the backpack silhouette introduced in the 24/25 Métiers d’Art (25A) lineup, this new design in grained shiny quilted calfskin measures 7.7 x 8.7 x 2.8 inches. It secures with a CC turn-lock closure and opens to reveal multiple slip compartments and a zippered pocket for easy organization. A leather top handle and adjustable chain shoulder straps offer versatile styling, while a detachable four-leaf clover charm adds a playful finishing touch. First up is a vintage-inspired Shopping Bag crafted from shiny quilted lambskin, measuring 8.7 x 11.6 x 4.7 inches. Minaudière

Chanel’s latest minaudière looks straight out of your dream makeup drawer. The Makeup Palette Minaudière is a playful nod to the house’s beauty roots, crafted from black Plexi with multicoloured strass and gold-tone metal.

Styled like an oversized compact, it opens with a CC clasp to reveal a mirror and four “shades”—each stamped with CC-coded designs—plus a tiny applicator to complete the illusion. Measuring 5.1 × 7.1 × 1.6 cm, it’s finished with a chunky chain top handle and a longer strap for shoulder or crossbody wear.
