Is This Hermès’ Next Everyday It-Bag? Meet the Besace Attelée

Hermès is back in the saddle with the Besace Attelée, an understated shoulder bag first introduced for Fall-Winter 2025. Inspired by the shape of a riding saddle, its softly curved silhouette and distinctive horsebit-style clasp bring an equestrian touch to an everyday Hermès design.

Under the main flap rests a smaller flat pocket, a design feature common in a classic Besace bag. Crafted in Evercolor or Evergrain calfskin, the Besace Attelée is comfortable and unmistakably Hermès.

The substantial clasp is the focal point of the design, reinterpreting a carriage snap hook through Hermès’ metalworking expertise. Designed to hook open and close, its sculptural form is offered in either gold or palladium plated finishes. An adjustable shoulder strap with an emblematic stirrup buckle reinforces the equestrian inspiration and allows the bag to be carried over the shoulder or across the body.

Designed with daily use in mind, the Besace Attelée is offered in a single size, with a roomy central compartment that accommodates everyday essentials, along with a small iPad.

The Besace Attelée comes in a range of neutral shades including Noir, Biscuit, Terre, Béton, Étoupe, Gris Pantin, and Gold. In the US, prices start at $9,700 for Evercolor calfskin and rise to $10,000 for Evergrain calfskin.
