The Hermès 24/24 Bag Gets a To Go Makeover

Hermès’ ever-expanding To Go line continues to welcome some of the Maison’s most recognizable designs. Following the Kelly and Constance, the latest style to join the grab-and-go family is the 24/24, bringing its relaxed, contemporary character to a compact wallet-meets-bag format.

First introduced as part of the Pre-Fall 2018 collection, the 24/24 offered a contemporary alternative to the Birkin and Kelly, balancing a supple silhouette with softly structured details, and oversized hardware. Now, its signature design has been scaled down to a day-to-night format.

Much like its larger sibling, the 24/24 To Go combines contrasting leathers, pairing finely grained Evercolor calfskin with a smooth Swift calfskin flap.  Completing the design is the signature oversized plaque and touret fastening, available in either gold- or palladium-plated hardware.

Measuring approximately 7.9 x 4.7 x 1.5 inches, the 24/24 To Go sits  between the Kelly To Go and Constance To Go in size, offering a bit more room while keeping its streamlined proportions. Inside, four credit card slots, a zipped pocket and a bill compartment provide the essentials of a traditional long wallet, with room for an iPhone, lipstick and keys.

Like other To Go designs, the 24/24 features a detachable strap, but this version is notably wider and shorter. Measuring approximately 13 inches long, it is designed for shoulder or hand carry rather than crossbody wear.  Alternatively, the 24/24 To Go can slip easily inside a larger handbag when you need a little extra organization.

Available in some of the Maison’s most iconic shades, including Étoupe, Gold and Noir, the 24/24 To Go is beginning to trickle into Hermès boutiques and the Maison’s online store worldwide. Currently available in Europe, it retails for €5,500, placing it in the same price bracket as the Constance To Go in Epsom.

Hermès has found another way to turn one of its contemporary icons into an everyday essential. Would you carry the 24/24 To Go, or would you rather stick with the original bag?
