The New Hermès Mini Lindy Feels Made for Summer

Often overlooked in favor of Birkins and Kellys, the Hermès Lindy has quietly built a loyal following of its own. Defined by its relaxed silhouette and dual-carry design, the Lindy entered the Hermès universe in 2007 during Jean-Paul Gaultier’s design tenure. Since its debut, the Lindy has been reworked in a variety of sizes and materials. In 2019, the first Mini Lindy was released, ultimately to fanfare. This petite version added a versatile crossbody function to the mix, cementing its status as the most coveted member of the Lindy lineup.

Now, the Mini takes on a fresh, lightweight look primed for sunnier days. Meet the Mini Lindy Toile.

Toile isn’t new to the Lindy family, but until now it’s been reserved for the bag’s larger sizes — namely the 26, 30, and 34. This season gives us the first Toile Mini Lindy, offering a lighter, more casual take on the silhouette. Like the Birkin Cargo, the Toile Mini Lindy pairs a durable Toile H canvas body with contrasting Swift calfskin trims, seen across the handles, side pockets, and crossbody strap.

Already lightweight by design, the Mini measures 7.4 x 4.9 x 3.5 inches — and in Toile, feels even easier to carry. Despite its compact size, it’s surprisingly practical, fitting daily essentials including larger iPhone models, a cardholder, keys, and a few small cosmetics. Designed to be carried by its dual top handles or worn crossbody, the Mini is particularly well-suited to hands-free styling — effortlessly sitting close to the hip.

The Lindy II Toile & Cuir is currently offered in a mix of tonal and contrasting colourways. Options range from classic all-black to softer combinations like Bai Brun and Mousse, alongside a tonal Sésame iteration – finished with either gold or palladium-plated hardware.

For now, the Lindy II Toile & Cuir hasn’t yet reached boutiques in Europe or the US, but is currently available to purchase in Asia.

What do you think of this new direction for the Lindy II Mini — does the canvas update make it more wearable, or do you still prefer the classic leather versions?
