Celebrity Handbags from the Grammy Awards 2020

On Sunday night in the ‘City of Angels’ all the hottest names in the music business came together for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards to celebrate the best new music right now.

Here at PurseBop we must confess that we were more interested in the fashion spotted on the red carpet (of course). As you can imagine, we had our eye on one accessory in particular – the bags!

All the flamboyance and glitter that you would expect was on the arm of A listers from quirky Chanel designs to candy inside a bag! Here are our top picks. Enjoy!

Described by Vogue as “the chicest accessory at the Grammys”, it’s safe to say that singer Maggie Rogers’ choice of the coveted Chanel Water Bottle Bag went down well at the awards show. It seems the musician used her choice of arm candy to make an important statement at the event (amazing idea)! “I carried an archival Chanel water bottle as a nod to the importance of sustainability and the urgency of our climate change reality,” she told Vogue.

Rogers paired the quirky design with a black vintage Chanel dress complete with stitched golden stars to complete her first ever Grammys appearance.

Despite being one of the break out colors of the season, many would be sceptical to rock tangerine on the red carpet. But it’s clear nothing fazes the self proclaimed ‘Queen of Twitter’. The model carried an elegant clutch bag in an orange hue and wore a flamboyant gown of the same shade by Russian fashion label Yanin and we must say we loved it!

The YouTuber took the term ‘arm candy’ quite literally, arriving at the awards show with Skittles (yes you read that right) inside a translucent clutch bag. Singh shared her sweet treats with reporters and photographers and joked about the choice of edible fashion with her Instagram followers.

Billy Porter

The performer is known for overt flamboyance and this awards show the star certainly didn’t disappoint! Porter turned up in an electric blue custom Baja East jacket and jumpsuit with complete with sparkly tassels at the bottom and platform heels.

But that wasn’t all. The star donned not 1, 2 but 3 stand out accessories! A silver and deep blue spider bracelet, a glitzy clutch also compete with tassels and last, but definitely not least, a remote controlled bejewelled, fringed hat by Sarah Sokol. This futuristic piece featured a retractable fringe that was remotely controlled by Porter’s stylist. PurseBop rates the outfit hands down the most memorable look of the night!
