Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2026 Bags: Buckets, Knits, and Luxe Leather

Louis Vuitton is back at the Louvre—and this time the Maison took the show inside its storied halls. Described by Louis Vuitton as “a voyage through redefined realms,” the collection carried Nicolas Ghesquière’s futuristic vision into one of Paris’s most historic spaces.

Guests were seated on benches at the center of two adjoining galleries, surrounded by gilded ceilings and ornate detailing, as models glided between the rooms in a presentation that felt more like a live art performance than a traditional runway.

The Spring-Summer 2026 lineup exudes an airy, almost ethereal quality: sheer layers, delicate ruffles, and soft pleating floated through the Louvre’s gilded galleries, while contrast trim added subtle structure. The palette favored soft gray, pale pink, pale blue, cream, and beige, with maxi lengths lending a sense of effortless elegance and fluid movement throughout the collection.

And then there are the accessories. Handbags range from casual buckle bags to petite clutches, with leather taking a more prominent role than canvas this season. The Express Bag, introduced in Fall-Winter 2025, returns on the runway, alongside new designs in knit that bring unexpected texture and playful energy to the collection.

Let’s take a closer look at the latest bags for Spring-Summer 2026…

Dopp Kit Pouch Reimagined

The first bag to hit the runway was reminiscent of Louis Vuitton’s Toilet Dopp Kit Pouch from the men’s line. Presented in several variations, the first was crafted in Monogram canvas with an aged Vachetta leather top handle strap with a buckle. Styled by hand on the runway, the bag secures with a single zip top closure. Of particular note was the slightly larger all-leather iteration, which adopts the same dual-top-zipper design as the Toilet Dopp Kit Pouch and is finished with a short gold-tone chain top handle.

Vanity Case

Adding a touch of Louis Vuitton Beauté to the lineup, a vanity case appeared in white canvas adorned with Monogram and botanical prints, paired with a vibrant raspberry-red lining. The bag features a two-way zip-top fastening, shown with the top flap rolled back to reveal the interior, which includes an inbuilt mirror and a curated selection of Louis Vuitton lipsticks.

Speedy

A new Speedy debuted on the runway, combining trunk-inspired structure with the classic Speedy silhouette. Styled handheld, the bag includes a detachable shoulder strap for versatile wear. Both versions appeared in the 20 cm size. The first features a bottom half in Monogram canvas with black leather trim and reinforced metal corners, accented with an S-Lock closure that suggests a secondary compartment. The main body retains the classic Speedy zip-top and is crafted from soft canvas, slightly aged and reminiscent of the striped textile lining found in classics like the Neverfull.

The second version is more Monogram-forward, with the main body in Monogram canvas and a sturdy base in aged Vachetta leather.

Alongside the trunk-inspired reimagining, more classic Speedy Bandoulière styles also appeared. A cotton canvas version in a nostalgic Louis Vuitton motif, featured black leather details with scarf adorned top handles.Another offered a more elaborate construction, featuring a canvas body with an appliqué crisscross design accented by rivet detailing, a vintage Louis Vuitton tab, and black leather trim. Its structure was further defined by smooth gray leather panels at each end.

Keepall Bandoulière 25

Louis Vuitton’s iconic travel holdall goes mini for Spring-Summer 2026 with the Keepall Bandoulière 25. Reimagined in pink lizard skin, the bag features gleaming gold-tone accents in lieu of traditional Vachetta trim. These golden metal plates extend vertically from the body to the top handles, and add an extra touch of luxury to the Monogram-free design.

Express Bag Evolves

The Express Bag, first introduced in Fall-Winter 2025, made a runway return, presented in ivory and black leather, paired with Monogram canvas trim.

For Spring-Summer 2026, Louis Vuitton expands the line with a new bucket-bag iteration that blends the classic Express features with more casual silhouette. Crafted from supple leather, the bag features delicate Monogram canvas trim extending down the sides and forming the top handle, which appears detachable. Inside, a floral-lined compartment is secured with a leather cord drawstring finished with a Louis Vuitton Monogram tab, cinching the top to hold essentials. On the runway, it was carried by the top handle, with a longer adjustable strap for shoulder or crossbody wear.

Bucket Bags

A more structured variation in the same bucket-tote vein appeared in a tan shade. This version features a classic rectangular silhouette with a flat base and reinforced metal corners, nodding to Louis Vuitton’s trunk heritage. The bag secures at the top with a drawstring and features a fabric lining, a detail that echoes the relaxed, effortless feel seen across the Spring-Summer 2026 lineup. On the runway, it was carried by its single top handle.

Expanding Louis Vuitton’s bucket bag offerings, this iteration is crafted from soft canvas in a vintage-inspired print, evoking a sense of heritage and nostalgia. Reinforced metal corners nod to the Maison’s luggage roots, while an embroidered crisscross pattern, accented with studs, adds texture and craftsmanship. The top handle is styled with a scarf-inspired wrap, completing the retro appeal.

Rounding out the bucket lineup is an exotic edition with a more structured, slightly trapezoidal silhouette reminiscent of the Capucines. Crafted from what appears to be glossy white crocodile—though it may be embossed leather—the bag features unusual zip detailing along the sides of the front panel, likely designed to expand the interior when filled. A hardware plate on the front adds a refined accent, while inside sits a drawstring cotton canvas pouch, secured with a leather cord and finished with Monogram tabs. A short twisted top handle completes the refined design.

Reimagined Alma

The Cruise 2026 collection focused on reinventing the iconic Alma, and here again Ghesquière continues to experiment with the beloved design.

Taking cues from the Alma, a new mini East-West style debuted. The design features an arched top with a zipper extending along the sides, crafted in Monogram canvas with Vachetta leather double shoulder straps. A cream Monogram canvas edition featuring a floral print and black trim was also presented. On the runway, this new style was carried as a clutch.

Adding to the half-moon silhouettes, a snakeskin design with a floral print arrived on the runway. Unlike the Alma-inspired style, it has a detachable single strap for clutch or shoulder wear, accented with a front luggage tag reminiscent of the Boîte Chapeau.

Side Trunk

Several iterations of the Side Trunk appeared on the runway, each inspired by heritage Louis Vuitton luggage. The first showcases a crisscross pattern reminiscent of classic trunk linings, complete with the words “Louis Vuitton” printed across the front. Its canvas body gives the bag a slouchy, relaxed feel, while smooth tan leather sides and a top handle add a touch of structure.

A more statement-making version mixes canvas and leather, with the crisscross pattern presented as an overlay secured with studs. Navy leather trim completes the design, and the strap is accented with an LV Monogram silk scarf.

The Spring-Summer 2026 lineup introduces a new Pochette style from Louis Vuitton. Knitted Bags

Straying from the Maison’s signature canvas and leather, the Spring-Summer 2026 lineup introduces a series of soft, slouchy knitted bags. Styled either on the shoulder or crossbody on the runway, each bag features a longline strap that knots at the shoulder for adaptable wear. The bags hang low against the body, emphasizing their relaxed, slouchy shape. Some feature a small leather panel, roughly the size of a credit card, embossed with the Louis Vuitton logo, while others replace the panel with the Monogram.

Adding to the knitted lineup, some bags feature a touch of Mongolian lamb fur. Light and cloud-like, this detail adds an extra layer of texture, enhancing the soft, slouchy knitted body.

Other Accessories

The dual-purpose scarf from Fall-Winter 2025 returns for Spring-Summer 2026 with a fresh update: crafted in soft, likely cashmere herringbone, the striped scarves feature subtle leather appliqué detailing for texture and dimension. The previously Damier Ebene pocket is replaced with the Maison’s signature Monogram, secured with a gold-tone S-Lock closure. On the runway, the scarves were carried by hand or worn as belts to cinch the waist.
